Business Plan

If you are serious about making Affiliate Marketing a REAL business or side business of yours then make it so. Treat it like a real startup company.

Start by writing a 5 year business plan. You can download free templates online and follow the instructions and outline. Or, use a Lean Canvas which is an alternative to the standard B Plan.

Either way, its better to look at your new affiliate marketing venture as a real life serious start up company.

With that said, the start up company Pass and Fail statistics apply. And they should.

The training and helpful videos here at WA will definitely give you a major advantage over someone not using WA. Your chances of success are greater here.

But, be patient...you may have spent 4 years at college or 4 years in highschool. Treat this same way. There is easily 4 years worth of information, training and tips here that you will need to know to succeed long term. Its no different.

If you view your new start up affiliate marketing company as mentioned and with a lot of patience and perseverance...you will be less frustrated if or when traffic doesnt flow to your site steadily for 12 months or more.

It might take 2-3 years before you see decent net profits every month. This is the realistic approach to going at this.

Best Wishes, MattyB.

Thank you for this, I have winged it through life and really need to grow up now and do some long term planning. Eeeish you are challenging me to do something that I really don't feel like doing BUT need to.

Thanks, MattyB. You of course are absolutely right. I'm thinking positively though that the SWAG training is going to accelerate the process for me. If it doesn't, I'm still going to hang in there and work. My someday will come.

While I totally agree with the five-year business plan, all businesses need cash flow, we have ever-increasing costs as our site are built out. It is not unreasonable to expect to at least break even at the end of the first year provided you are following the training. Nobody has told me to expect much traffic for six months and only start to make money after twelve months so that is my expectation. I also must expect that I have applied the training to achieve those expectations

Thank you for sharing. This is a great attitude. It is the difference between running a business and working a job. With a job, you work and you get paid a little. With a business, you work hard and are often not paid but when it starts paying off, it might pour. A plan is a great place to start.

I agree. Keeping it real is the best approach. Thank you for your post!!

Hey MattyB, sure enough, schools should have courses on development I think that is key and not treat as a JOB> Still Learning, I have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Thanks for sharing. I would have never thought of a 5 year business plan, even though I make daily to do lists for my business. Thank you again and good luck!

Thanks for sharing, Matty.

I think yours are wise words to adhere to, Matt. Thank you!

Show me that i am wrong. Prove to us that you can make decent net income in 6 months versus taking longer. Show us you can Net $3,000 steadily every single month after only 4-6 months from start up.
I challenge you guys to prove me wrong. This was just MY experience as well as many others that I talked with here at WA.
