A Day with ChatGPT

Hey all. So I've spent the day with ChatGPT. I've checked it out and experimented in all sorts of ways with it.

As a result, I am happy to say that I've found in this a wonderful tool to help me build my online business.

For instance, ChatGPT is good a suggesting keywords.

It is also great at writing content, which has surprised me. You can give it all sorts of instructions, and within seconds out pops a blog post.

However, it CANNOT replicate my writing style perfectly. Perhaps other humans can replicate my writing style, but I have found that it cannot do this. I've even entered my own writing into it and it says it will try to copy my style, but it just cannot do this.

A take home message from this is: You are unique. Your style is unique to you, or at least unique enough that AI cannot copy it. It is merely a powerful computer. It is not human, and cannot write EXACTLY like a human can write. It often comes across as generic, writing in a way that I've seen a thousand times, often in magazine articles or books.

This is encouraging. We are not all out of a job - far from it.

The primary thing I find ChatGPT most useful for is INSPIRATION. For a little while I have lacked this with my site. I wasn't making any sales and the traffic wasn't growing. But recently, I've made two sales and that has inspired me to continue adding posts.

However, sometimes I struggle to know what to write about. I look at my list of saved keywords and nothing takes hold.

But this is where ChatGPT can come in very handy. I ask it to write a blog post on a keyword and whatever pops out I can read and get immediately inspired.

I'm not interested in copying and pasting what it produces. But I do find it really useful for generating ideas, and relieving me of writer's block.

INSPIRATION is the bedrock of my business. It is EVERYTHING for my business, and I reckon it is massively important for your business too. Without inspiration, we fail.

Anything that can fuel our inspiration is gold.
