Maybe pride comes before the fall, but frustration comes before the success

A few days ago I put out a question about affiliate programs. I was struggling with getting accepted to anything besides Amazon. I had been accepted by two affiliate networks, CJ and Linkshare but every time I tried to apply to any retailers program within those networks, I would get auto-rejected.

I have tried contacting individual retailers as well as the networks themselves to get answers as to why this was happening, to no avail.

What's more is that most of the retailers I want to affiliate with are part of another network called AvantLink, and my application to join that network was denied.

This, to say the least, was downright discouraging. I am very happy with my website, the direction it is going, and the content I have been able to write. I haven't gotten much SEO traffic yet but I have been able to leverage facebook to get around 1500 site visitors in two weeks time.

But all of that success was feeling useless because I couldn't get my site monetized without acceptance to these affiliate programs.

I was very frustrated and discouraged and I'm sure that it showed through in my question. I got a few answers from helpful WA members telling me that it could just be that my site is too young, keep pumping out new content and be patient. And that did help a little.

I resolved to just keep pushing forward, keep writing, keep training, and keep believing in the success that will come eventually.

And guess what!?

The very next day I got an email telling me I had been accepted to AvantLink. And I have since applied to several programs and been accepted by about 6 so far through the AvantLink network!

I am so excited! Patience and hard work payed off! I consider this a big success because every little step that gets me closer to my goal is a success!

I'm ready to keep moving forward and begin promoting excellent products to my site visitors through the new programs I have been accepted to.
