Where Will You Be in Five Years?

Where will you be in five years? I've heard this question many times in my life in relation to goal setting of some sort. I think the first time I heard it was when a college professor challenged those of us who were looking into the adult education program at a particular university. He said, "In five years where will you be? If it takes you five years to get a degree, so what? If you don't get a degree, guess what? The same five years will have passed, regardless."

Now think about that just for a moment in relation to building your own business online. Sure, we all want to make big money tomorrow, but is that realistic? Of course not. A year? Maybe. 3-5 years? Much more likely. But what if it takes even longer? To be honest, does it really matter? Here's the thing, whether you build your business or not, that time is going to go by. Do you want to look back in 3, 5, 10 years and think, "I wish I had built my own online business and not quit."
