I was reading about the The Cult of Less project created by New Yorker, Kelly Sutton.
He found that the more he owned, the less happy he was. He embarked on a process of selling his possessions that he didn't use. If he hadn't used it for 12 months, then he sold it.
Kelly travels teaches people extreme decluttering.
He moves every 5mths from country to country educating people on how to declutter.
People that follow this line of thinking are extreme declutterers aiming to liberate themselves from attachment to their possessions. This ultimately, they believe leads to true happiness and peace.
Kelly doesn't really miss the things that he owned. All his possessions can fit in 2 boxed and 2 suit cases. He doesn't worry about what he has now. He spends his time planning what he wants to do.
I wonder if this would help to plan a business strategy?
The life of a blogger can be swept away with the latest and greatest plugin, guru or book.
What is it we are really looking for?

- Recognition?
- Financial freedom?
- A deep desire to connect with like-minded people?
- Purpose?
- Independence and self-suffiency
What ever it is, peace is a byproduct of attaining this goal.
Peace to able pay the bills, peace when connecting with others, peace that comes when you know that your opinion matters. If it isn't bringing peace then I would suggest you keep looking for the core reason you do what you do day in, day out.
Then seek out what you really want in life.
I know Mick Jagger sung "You Can't Always Get What You Want" but I beg to differ.

How do we get what we want?
After reading a number of articles/books about this, there are common actions to take;
- Stop apologising
- Continue to ask
- Be consistent
- Make it known that you are invaluable, after all there is only one of you
- Accept and be ready to be fulfilled in life/work/happiness
Simplifying life can help you see what you are really looking for.
Is it time for you to declutter?
Is stuff getting in the way?
Is your day filled with other people's agenda?
Dare to be different. Your life depends on it.
