Discovering my Niche
In July 2016, I was beaten and strangled by my boyfriend and luckily I was able to get away after a couple hours. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison and was released at 9. During his prison time I decided my goal was to learn how to protect myself and I decided to purchase my first gun and get my Concealed Carry Permit.
In my 43 years, I had never touched a gun let alone shot one. I struggled trying to find resources on the steps of how to get my permit, what class to take, what kind of gun do I want, how would I carry it.....and the list goes on. I found it very difficult to find women that could provide any help on these topics. I had some guy friends that would give me advice but there were certain things that I really need women's advice.
My site isn't all just for women but I am planning to focus on the entire process that I went through and things that I learned that would be helpful. Some of these will apply to both genders of course but I really want to help anyone that is brand new to the process and give them a place where they can get quality product reviews, things that helped me learn, and just become a resource. I feel it's always easiest to teach when you have built your knowledge from the ground up.

I like the idea of this kind of website.
One of the things you might think about, because of all of the gun grabbers out there and many of their feelings about women, anyway, is to include ways to protect yourself and how to get through all of the many "common sense" gun control laws and how to ensure they are not breaking any current laws!
How to carry across state lines, as appropriate and what to do, legally if they have to move from state to another on a permanent basis. List some of the laws in various states about what to say to and treat an officer, stopping them for a common speed limit, violation about their 'carrying' etc., etc., etc....

I was as newbie as they came and it was not much fun having to google my nights away question by question. I really appreciate your suggestions and they will be coming soon!!!
