I have been trying for months to resolve why Microsoft Outlook continuously request me to input my password. It did the every few minuets to every hour. I searched the internet to find resolve the problem and found several things, but nothing fixed the sign on problem. I finally switched to a different email software package. I liked Outlook because I have been using it ever since it came out and that it what my company used. I have three email accounts and I have it set up to receive email from my g-mail as well as from WordPress for messages from my websites.
Yesterday I received a message from my internet provider, Verizon, that said that everybody using Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail needed to update their email settings by May 5,2015. The updates were as follows:
Server POP3 or incoming mail server
Current Settings = incoming.verizon.net
New Settings = pop.verizon.net

SSL,enabled = yes

SMTP or outgoing Mail Server
Current settings = outgoing.verizon.net
New settings = smtp.verizon.net
SSL Enabled = Yes

After I did the above, my sign on problem was resolved. It never occurred to me to check with my provider. maybe this could help somebody else.
