Steps I follow for all my product reviews!
Hey everyone! I wanted to create a light tutorial on how to review, but there is a 3 month minimum time of subscription here at WA so this will have to do :)
Since I started I have been slowly improving the way I research for reviews and how I do them. It's been a little more than a month since I started to feel free to add anything you feel is missing, and let me know if you don't agree with something. I am open to any sort of critics ;) . Having said that, now, I'll point out the steps I take to create said reviews. These steps are:

1. Study the product you will review from more than one source. study it well.
For this step I usually go to the website of the company that sells the product and take notes of all the important good things and bad things you read from there. I'm talking about the specifications of your products, what is and isn't better than the previous version of it, and very important: the reviews people leave for the product (bad and good).
After that I go to "my competitors" websites and also take notes of things I noticed to be missing from the product Company's website. Usually these "things" are personal experiences the reviewers or people have had from using the product in discussion.
Make sure to take ALL these notes in your own words!
Learn from what you read, don't just copy it!
Become an authority in your niche!

2. Plan a review design that you know will help in organizing the info you have collected.
Organize the things you'll be talking about in a clean and ordered manner, so that the readers feel comfortable while reading your review and are able to find what they are looking for easier.
I do this by separating the product's important points with different headers. Also, I personally like to follow the design I made as close as possible for all my reviews. But if there's something a newer product has that the other doesn't I add that to another header or I ad it under a "versatility" header or "what's new" etc..

3. Start writing.
Elaborate on each of the notes you took and aim for excellent quality content.
You should try to go for different word count goals. At the beginning, I started aiming for 500, then 750, 900, 1000, and now I try my best to reach 1500 but, I am happy with more than 1000. You'll notice that as you get better this will come to you easier and faster. The key is to keep at it.
Be yourself
Remember to give an honest review, meaning that not everything is perfect, so be sure to let your readers know that. Oh and, make sure to put some of your personality in them.
Make your first proof read!

4. Add some life to your review
Like we have learned from the courses here at WA, we must remember that people are visual. Adding some pictures will be helping you in 2 things: 1.It gives color to your post and 2. It will make your content less crowded. This helps to make sure that people won't run away from your site.

5. Add your affiliate links
Add your affiliate links, but try not to crowd your review with them, remember you want people to read your content to help them. I usually place my links at the bottom of my review and maybe one at the middle.
Reread your content once more and check for any errors!
I hope this post helps some of you. Remember to add or correct something I said on the comments section. All will be much appreciated. Feel free to check my site out on my profile for reference. If this post helped you feel free to click the like button :)
Best regards & success to you all,
Luis

Great article, Luis. This is an excellent plan and I am bookmarking it for later review. shary
It is often recommended consistent with economy that one unit of a product be purchased to study for an authoritative review!
