Puerto Rico to the Finals!
Hey all,
I don't know if many of you are following the World Baseball Classic this year, but yesterday Puerto Rico advanced to the finals by defeating Netherlands in the 11th inning. This is huge for us, it definitely has unified everyone here and it feels great to be puerto rican. Tomorrow we'll face whoever wins today between USA and Japan.
Puerto Rico is a small island in the Caribbean next to Cuba and La Espanola. Some of our athletes have been known worldwide, like:
- Tito Trinidad (Boxing)
- Miguel Cotto (Boxing)
- Monica Puig (Tennis)
- Carlos Beltran (Baseball)
- Roberto Clemente (Baseball)
- Ivan Rodriguez (Baseball)
- Jose Juan Barea (Basketball)
- Carlos Arroyo (Basketball)
These and many others have placed Puerto Rico's name high up, and I thank them for doing so. Hope you enjoyed this short post of celebration.

We were in P.R. A year ago in January for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time. I hope they do well the Baseball World Classic.
Also, being from Pittsburgh, Clemente has always been my favorite baseball player. I saw him play many games in the 1950's.

I'm glad you had a good time here at PR. And yeah, R Clemente is a huge inspiration to all of our athletes, even those that don't play baseball.
