3 Month Mark
Well, today is my 3 month mark. I just checked the training button, and I'm allowed to provide it now. :)
So this was a rather eventful day. For one, it was my last day at work. In a way, I'm rather relieved it's over. Going to work, knowing I was nearing the end was really stressful. I'm so thankful I don't have to go back and worry about what needs to be accomplished.
On the other hand, there's the uncertainty of starting my own business and the risk of failure. I'm also concerned about getting off go. It's so easy to procrastinate, never pull the trigger. I've also had a few setbacks related to an EIN and registering my business. I worked on resolving those today.
Today my business cards came in. :) I'm pretty pleased with them. They were just in time. I got to pass them out to my ex co-workers before HR came around to collect our keys.
So that's work (or rather lay off news).
My website is coming along nicely. I checked out my goals the other day (Success Story: I Finished Get). I've been keeping up nicely with doing posts every other day. I still have a post to do tonight to stay on track. I've only posted 2 reviews, so I'm really behind on that. I have 3 partially ready though. They really just need to be formatted and some images added. Now that I'm not working, I should have extra time. :)
Traffic... well, it looks like I'm getting about 25 visitors a day. That's quite a bit off from the 225 clicks/day I'm striving for by the time May 7 comes along. I'm not going to worry too much about the traffic right now. I'll hold off until May 7 to really start worrying about being on the right track. My understanding is Google is stingy with the traffic just starting off. Around the 3 month mark, Google starts sending more traffic, if the content is worthy. Hopefully it is.
That second website.... hmm. I've been so busy between work, school, life, and backboneamerica.com, I haven't even wanted to fool around with a second website. For now, I'm not willing to make time. We'll have to see after the dust settles.
