1 Week on WA with great progress & a question
Dear WA community,
I feel so grateful being here and at the same time I feel confident in my niche and my business idea.
I just finished the second course and I've learned so much. Also, I have managed to reach 100 followers today!! XOXO to everyone! :):)
Though, I have a question to which I couldn't find the proper answer, on my own. Maybe you guys can help? :)
I already built a site on another platform (SquareSpace) and I was thinking to move it here. It was easier to build (comparing to what I have seen in Wordpress) and it is not WP based. Because it is easier to manage it, I really don't know if moving it to WA on WP is the best idea. What do you suggest? Plus, it would take a lot of time.
Do you think that having everything in one place would bring benefits?
How do you find WP? Is it easy to manage?
I really need your opinion on this.

Hi Livia,
I would say to go with whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. That being said, WP is simple to use and the training here at WA is focused towards using WP so you might have to do some 'translating' if you opt to not use WP.
Another thought, since you are premium the hosting at WA comes as part of your premium fee (it's even a BETTER deal now that there's included SSL). So, you are in essence paying for hosting here at WA, you might as well not have to pay twice for hosting! (I'm going on the assumption that SquareSpace is not free)

Indeed, Squarespace has a montly fee as well. So definetelly I have to think where should I keep my site, going further.
There's a whole WordPress classroom here too, and lots of knowledgable folks ready to lend a hand :)
I have seen a part of this, yes. :) I might move to WP. I am currently searching for a blogging theme. :D

Firstly huge congratulations on your great progress so far.
I cannot comment really on transferring your site, I have never done it and do not have knowledge of SquareSpace.
What I can say is that I never found Wordpress that difficult especially when I am following the training here at WA.
I am only at the beginning of course 3 but nothing so far has been hard.
I would also think that having everything in one place would help with admin.

In terms of your question about your other site, their are pros and cons for moving it to WA and you have to weigh those up yourself. I have other sites outside of WA and I've decided after 10 fmonths of being at WA I'll be transferring those ones to here for the following reasons:
Hosting comes with membership for up to 50 sites;
Domains are cheaper;
SSL certificates are now included;
Website security is awesome;
SiteSupport is efficient;
WordPress has become the most popular platform to build a stite.
