Just call me Dunderhead!

First:

I lost the toolbar on the "Pages" because I inadvertently checked the wrong box in the editor section. It took me two days to uncover the problem (thank goodness for technical support)

Second:

I was almost completely done writing my pages, and, (again inadvertently), deleted my whole blinking website!!

Total time lost: 50--60 hrs.

I'm back on track, and have about 2/3's of the work re-done.

Just thought I'd pass this along------

oh no, how frustrating. Glad you have most of it redone now

Thank you, Cuppa,
I hope I learned my lesson ;)

Oh My !!!
... glad you got it all back.

Experience is Always the best teacher !!!
ps - I've done "stuff" too.

Thanks Joanne,
Glad to know that I'm not the only one ;)

Dunderhead! Well, you asked me to call you that!

Great post on persistence. I absolutely hate when that happens. I had a website with over 400 pages once. I got tired of the web, got behind on things and lost it all (yes, it's still on a server somewhere) and have been rebuilding it over the last year...... Wow. But it is better this time so I guess that's the payoff.

Pretty stupid all right!

Don't beat yourself up we have all been there and most of us at some point even experience will be there again occasionally. The important thing is to have backup

1

Thanks again Kat
I just know I'll do it again---but Ill rebuild again----shows character, right ;)

Outs Jack I feel your pain especially that of things I myself and so most of us. However when you start losing hours like that the learning curve is accelerated

1

Thanks Kat, Much appreciated!
We'll see about about the learning curve ;)
Jack (littleguy)

There is a very steep learning curve when you start Jack but believe you me a lot of it becomes second nature very quickly. The trick is not to get discouraged

1

Yeah I've been on a steep learning curve most of my life. I know that the only people who never make mistakes are the people who do nothing.;
