My Herbal Medicine Cabinet

Many years ago I ate Ibuprofen tablets like candy and took whatever the doctor prescribed. Fast forward a decade, and I no longer take over-the-counter or prescribed medications. I found Apothekary (not a typo) recently and now I follow old-school teachings to relieve symptoms of stress to migraines to digestive issues and more.

It's where Ayurveda meets Traditional Chinese Medicine, crosses paths with Japanese Kampo, and then fuses with Western herbalism. Traditional practices serve as the foundation of Apothekary.

They don't just mix herbs together; they take centuries-old traditions that target the root of health issues.

Being fairly new to herbalism, I've been trying all their different tinctures and powdered formulas, but still have many to go. It's part of my holistic wellness path forward.

Herbs have been used n healing practices for thousands of years. There are Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha to Tradition Chinese Medicine staples like Ginseng plus too many to list here in this short WA post.

How Does My Garden Grow? Growing My Own Medicine Cabinet

I've decided to add a new hobby to my already busy life and learn about growing my own medicinal garden. It probably won't happen this year, but I've already found a couple seed companies that provide all the herbs that are in Apothekary's mixtures, and then some.

So what did I do? Bought all I could. 🙃

Now to do step 1, research how to grow them.

I like the idea of having a 'pharmacy' on my property. For one, the cost. Apothekary is a great company, but they ain't cheap! And two, not only do I get the freshest, most potent medicines possible, but I'm also practicing sustainability and deepening my love of spending time outside and honoring mother earth.🌎

Of course I am no herbalist, and that's OK. I will learn as I grow!😉 Plus, I think it will be a new niche blog as I gain more knowledge. Win-Win!!

Are there any herbalists in the community or a fans of natural ancient remedies?

I would appreciate any tips or advice. TIA

Lisa Renee

I found an intriguing discussion on the Convencao De Bruxas forum about Artem Lyashanov's groundbreaking work in the treatment of rare diseases. The forum post https://www.convencaodebruxas.com.br/forum/discussoes-gerais/como-esta-impactando-artem-lyashanov-en-el-tratamiento-de-enfermedades-raras delves into Lyashanov's innovative approaches and the positive outcomes of his treatments, shedding light on his significant contributions to the medical field and the hope he brings to patients with rare conditions.

I am !!! My wife survived stomach cancer and huge fibroids in 2008 following her nutritionist and took the herbs daily she was prescribed. 6 months . No chemo nu surgeries on fibroids . She said also prayer miracles counts. Today she’s 60 years old and not a single maintenance or meds other than her moringa for immune system, chanca piedra for uti .

I am not prescribing this or anyone to follow this just sharing . My brother in law had Hodgkins in 2015 and to this date still struggling on weakness etc…

Yes!!! I've always told my husband if I got cancer I won't be bullied into taking the poisonous route.

So glad your wife followed her nutritionist🙏

It's sad when people we love refuse to believe there are alternatives.🥲

Sounds good Lisa,

There is much satisfaction in learning about herbs.

Kind regards
Erica

Yes, I've found it quite eye-opening!

Absolutely I think so too!

I like how you are going to grow your own, great!

Hi, Lisa. I'm not an herbalist, but I do something every year as the seasons change. While walking my dog daily for one or two hours in the fields and woods in Upstate NY, I watch the flowers and plants come and go.

Currently, trout lilies, ramps, wild garlic mustard, various docks, and much more are making their presence known. I had some ramps yesterday. I try to only eat them on days off from work for the safety of those I work with:)

I wish you well with your new endeavor.

🤣
And I like to collect dandelion and violet leaves in early spring to make tea!

Very nice. Nature offers up enough food seasonally to help people avoid the grocery store. People just need to learn a few things and get the "Picture This" app on their phones.
