My Dashing Boy Ollie

While building my empire I do side hustles to fund investing in the business and myself. One of which is delivering with DoorDash. The husband went out of town to visit his mother and took the elder of our two dogs. Ollie gets a bit depressed when they are gone so I put him in the car and off we went to do DoorDash this morning.

I called him my dashing boy, Ollie!😎❣️

We only stayed out about 2 hours since he gets a bit crazy from boredom, but it snapped him out of his funk for a while.

Do you still have to do work outside of your business that you have or are building? If so, is it a traditional job or a side hustle like Uber or DoorDash?

Ollie certainly looks like a dashing lad to me Lisa!

I've never heard about DoorDash though... as you mention it in the same sentence as Uber, I take it they are similar?

My day job is still teaching English and probably still will be for a while yet!!

But diversification is a great thing to do when we can my friend!! :-)

DoorDash delivers food and other shop items while Uber delivers people, but very similar platforms.

Yes, when we can everything else will go away as the business thrives!

Aahh ok, we don't have DoorDash over here, just UberEats which sounds exactly the same!

Absolutely my friend! :-)

I've had a locksmith business for almost 35 years, but the last 4 years have not been so good, Lisa!

Ultimately, I will diversify further with more book writing.

Jeff

I'm sorry to hear that, Jeff. Sending my best for your book's success!

Much appreciated, Lisa! Either way, it will work out as it is supposed too!

Jeff

Great to hear that you will do some more book writing in order to diversify Jeff!

You're probably not going to believe me here, but I recently found out that the administrators of the building I live in pay this company around $600 a month to mow our community lawn!!!

It only takes two hours at most each time, they only show up about eight times a year and the end result is horrendous in my opinion!!

They mow when it doesn't need mowing then disappear for months on end when it does!!

This doesn't sit well with me, so.... I put in an offer the other day saying if they paid me $4K annually I would mow the garden from now on...

It will save the occupants here around $3.2K a year, I know I will do a better job and will also get some additional income from not doing very much in my opinion!!!

Diversifying at it's best in these times I think!

I haven't had an answer back yet, but this is France!!

It will most likely take years and many pointless general assemblies as is the norm here for my neighbours to make a decision!!

Let's see though!

Interesting, Nick! Hope it works out!

Cheers Jeff, so do I.... the garden here looks terrible as it always has, if I can make a bit more scratch whilst keeping costs down for my neighbours...

A win, win all round I would say!!

Let's see what the administrators have to say....

Probably not a win win for them as they have been steadily stealing from all of us who pay the bills here regardless!!

πŸ‘πŸ‘

That sounds like an awesome opportunity! I hope they accept your proposal quickly.

So do I Lisa, but this is France and nothing happens quickly here! :-)
