Discipline Built This: Website, YouTube, Life
Listen—my business, my personal website, my YouTube channel, even my life—they didn’t grow because I felt like it. They grew because I showed up when I didn’t feel like it. Doing the boring tasks, repetition, over and over. That’s discipline.
Discipline is the muscle no one wants to train, but it’s the one that changes everything. Without it, your goals are just daydreams. With it, you can tear down the walls of “too old,” “too late,” or “too tired” and build something that actually matters.
For me, discipline isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up—messy hair, sore muscles, tired eyes—and doing the reps anyway. Writing the posts, recording the videos. That’s how I keep moving forward. That’s how I educate and inspire other women like me to do the same.
Because here’s the truth: I’m not a finished product—I’m a project. And projects don’t get wrapped up with a pretty bow. They get renovated, upgraded, and rebuilt over and over. There is no finish line.
So if you’re waiting for the right time, the easy time, or the perfect time—stop. The only time that matters is today. Discipline is how you start, how you keep going, and how you finally become unstoppable.
Discipline doesn’t care about your excuses—so why should you?

Thank you for your inspiring words. I definitely need to work on being more discipline. I work primarily for myself, and distractions are everywhere. Whether it is YouTube or a friend wanting to hangout. I need the discipline to just say no and continue working on my sweet dreams. Thaks again for the thoughtful article.
I love your expression ' I’m not a finished product—I’m a project.' Yes, that's one way to look at it. And Life is a project too - and we just create it as well as we can so we don't have too many regrets when we get to the end.
Great thoughts, Lisa.
Beautifully stated. I don't want to be a copy cat but you've very similarly, or at least partially said what I've been looking for the words to say myself. You were the inspiration for why I posted a video a week or so again. So, today, seeing your post, I read it and it really resonated with me. Don't be surprised if later today or in the near future, you see/hear echoes of this post in something I post. Rock on, Lady.
Bob
Thanks, KBob! I look forward to reading the echoes in your truths. I believe we all have something to give! After all, that's what it's about.
This is powerful. Discipline really is the backbone of growth. it’s not about waiting to feel motivated, it’s about showing up and doing the work regardless. I love how you framed it as being a “project” rather than a finished product. That mindset shift makes all the difference. Thanks for sharing this reminder.it’s exactly what so many of us need to hear.
