Are you the smartest one in the room?

Then go to some other room!

I was just browsing through the new blog posts from all these productive WAers and checked out this one and the quote was so good and thought provoking I had to share it!

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/tonyhamilton/blog/...

If you are the smartest one in the room; how are you going to learn anything new? Luckily the younger generation is there to outsmart us all the time, so we really have to struggle to keep up.

I have learned not to fall into the trap of the ego and to be humble enough to ask my daughters when there is something I know they know that is like Hieroglyphs to me, but it took a toll in the beginning. ;)

Always fun to keep learning!

Namaste, Kristina

OOhh how I wish I was born Smart.

I have soo much to learn. yet.
Too much information in the universe for me to claim smart.
What I need more than ever is wisdom, and how to rightly divide information.

You know, as long as I have been on Planet Dirt, I found out this much,
If I know that there is someone or entity out there that far succeeds me in knowledge, then I know I have begun to learn something.

I will have to P.M you with the rest of this thought.

It gets heavy.

You ARE smart, but if you begin to think you are the smartest one; then you are in trouble, because then you might think there is nothing anyone can teach you!
Please PM me the rest of the thought, now you got me curious ;) LOL

Well, I cannot argue with that one. especially when you use a law of success on me.
I confess, I am smart..
good news,, I am still learning.

It is true.
I was not always like this. It has to be a gift from above.

Yup, it is, use it well and with caution ;)

Following up...

Okay now, imagine this.

We human Beings have been taught traditionally in terms of Aristotelian , Euclidean and Newtonian philosophies.
As we all have learned that in the past, Galileo was put under house arrest for challenging the ruling thought of those days, Poor Bruno also, and many others. Who suffered greatly for thinking out of the confines of tradition.. BECAUSE those in Power resided in that power, cloaked by the ruling and dominant thought of those dark ages.

Plato did a wonderful job of using the allegory of the cave.

I quote from a source I found.
-------------------------------------------------
• Plato realizes that the general run of humankind can think, and speak, etc., without (so far as they acknowledge) any awareness of his realm of Forms.
• The allegory of the cave is supposed to explain this.
• In the allegory, Plato likens people untutored in the Theory of Forms to prisoners chained in a cave, unable to turn their heads.
All they can see is the wall of the cave. Behind them burns a fire. Between the fire and the prisoners there is a parapet, along which puppeteers can walk.
The puppeteers, who are behind the prisoners, hold up

puppets that cast shadows on the wall of the cave.
The prisoners are unable to see these puppets, the real objects, that pass behind them. What the prisoners see and hear are shadows and echoes cast by objects that they do not see. Here is an illustration of Plato’s Cave:
So This, I perceive is how Plato covered his Six o’clock.
Modern society is still operating on this “ shadow of perceived reality”
Our modern day monasteries, (universities), herd us like sheep, [ that is another concept I will address later ], sheep. We grow up, then forced to go to school, then University, [ if we are smart …according to what “they consider smart”; being able to memorize information.
So, in contrast to those poor “savages in Plato’s allegory,” who are chained to the floor, who have grown accustomed to the shadows, based their life on shadows.
(just like Newtonian Physics)…
Now…If am able to “download” information is another matter entirely.
Download? Where from? Our Creator and other supreme , in our midst that has our well-being as their primary objective.
This is where we have lost our abilities to truly learn from our creator.
It is, I truly, the beginning of wisdom.
Not knowing anything to being able to acquire understanding from the Universe, So to speak.
Me, I was the dumbest black child, or one of many, In Jamaica. I barely made it in to Engineering College in Jamaica at the age of 16, and even that was an academic struggle.
By God’s and only by God’s Grace, I somehow made it and passed all classes needed for the area of study I was in. All by “memorizing book info and doing hands-on training on what someone else invented.

Those seem to be the trend of our present day Academic life and trek.
Go to school; Get a degree, [which I did], so we can follow orders from those who knows nothing, but control 70 % of the world’s wealth, and get paid 20%, [ if that ], of what we are truly worth.
It was not until 5 years ago, when I discovered quantum mechanics; the power of the human spirit to broadcast and receive information as taught by Napoleon hill ,and Naseem Haramein, when I began to think in a quiet place.
I notice that I began to see things, understand things, not taught in universities; Such as , and how to attract wealth to ourselves.
Einstein , Heisenberg, DE Broglie, et al, found out that ‘We’ the observers are affecting the outcomes of our experiments.
Also, we , as ordinary people , by our thoughts, the ting that affect the outcome of our lives, are affecting what becomes of us.
Now knowing this, we can purposely direct the course of our desired future.
Now, as we watch those who claim to be self-proclaimed geniuses, we can see the limits of their ignorance
I am learning things , just by reasoning within myself.
I was discussing certain scientific things with someone.
This man told me, how did I know that? Told him, I get these flashes of thought, and I reason them out to myself.
He brought me a book to read. He said, everything you spoke about, is in this book.
He is still puzzled. And, I do not claim to be a genius. I only set still and ask My Father above, how does Gravity really work? I got the answer.
What is worse, the answer is even in the Bible. But those who would control knowledge refuse to or was command not to decode this information, because it would free us from filthy money and everything would be free for all to enjoy. And help other people reach their goals.
Some of this is in my book I am writing, so, I don’t want to give away all of it quite yet.
More to come ………….
Funny thing, The more info I get, the more I am remind of how much I do not know.
It is like me collecting a bucket of Sea water then claim to know everything about the oceans on the livable planets in our own Galaxy
======================================================

{ I am getting flash-backs} of my university days; writing term papers on my laptop in the library till mid-night.

Cool, I downloaded a book by Napoleon Hill just the other day and I love reading books like that. One of my favorites is A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, it explained so much!
Stepping outside the box of 'normalcy' is very liberating and you learn so much about yourself and everything around you. Good for you!

Smartest one??? I wish..

That's great, then you can learn and become even smarter :)
If you thought you were the smartest one then you would not need to learn, right? ;)

Great point!

Thanks :)

That's why I'm here Kristina, I'm nowhere near the smartest in this room... hahahaha
Mark

Neither am I, I love learning from others :) and I'm smart enough to admit it too :D

The last part of your sentence is the killer Kristina, recognising that and acting on it can go a long way to making or breaking your success.

ME TOO MARK! It's so cool to be able to learn from so many big brains! -Alexx

It sure is, and knowledge is a light burden to carry ;)

Hello, 100% me too, lol. ;))
Thank you Kristina.

It's so much fun to learn new things! :)

Kristina - now that you have the nice rounded rank of 200, you must be the smartest person in our conversation, and I can learn from you if I keep quiet appropriately. Even in situations where I have been out nerded, I find decades of experience has given me a highly defined BS meter, often called due diligence/own opinion. Nice number. Larry

LOL, being at number 200 doesn't make me smart, it just shows I have been active in the community. I was below 100 before but I have not been that active lately. Having a BS meter is great, and it does come with experience and the ability to see and contemplate what happens around you, don't you think?

That's funny: Go to some other room! I humbly accept the help of my son when I want to get rid of hyphens in my post - it's just such a small thing... :) Seriously speaking, we all need some help along the way, and the wise man and woman accepts (at least some of) it.

I ask my kids too when it comes to the new technical stuff, but they ask me when it comes to cooking and other household stuff, so at least I have that :)
