Affiliate marketers, especially Wealthy Affiliate members, rely on their laptops to research, create content, and track analytics. A failing battery can slow productivity, reduce efficiency, and even disrupt earnings.

Maintaining good laptop battery health is essential for seamless workflow. Here’s how to check and preserve battery life effectively.

Check Battery Health Regularly

Most operating systems provide built-in battery health diagnostics:

  • Windows: Open Command Prompt and type powercfg /batteryreport to generate a detailed battery report.
  • Mac: Hold the Option key, click the Apple menu, and select System Information > Power > Battery Health to view its condition.

If your laptop’s full charge capacity drops below 80%, consider optimizing usage or replacing the battery.

Optimize Charging Habits
  • Avoid keeping your laptop plugged in at 100% all the time. Instead, maintain a charge between 20-80% to prolong battery lifespan.
  • Use manufacturer-recommended chargers to prevent voltage inconsistencies.
Manage Power Settings

Affiliate marketers using resource-heavy tools like Ahrefs or Canva can reduce battery strain by:

  • Lowering screen brightness.
  • Enabling battery saver mode.
  • Closing unnecessary browser tabs and background apps.
Keep Your Laptop Cool

Heat is the enemy of battery longevity. Use a cooling pad and avoid placing your laptop on soft surfaces like beds or cushions.

Maintaining a healthy battery will ensure uninterrupted work sessions, maximizing productivity and revenue in affiliate marketing.

Implement these simple steps to keep your laptop performing at its best!

Thank you, Makinde. Good info here.

I used to keep my laptop plugged in, even after it got to 100%. Now, it remains unplugged after fully charged.

Also, enabling safe mode isn't for me with laptop and mobile. Features on device change.

Have an awesome day!

Maxine :)

Hello MrWillan,

Thank you for your contribution to the post. You are welcome.

Keeping laptops plugged in all the time can negatively impact battery health. Over time, it makes it causes the battery to drain faster and shortens its lifespan.

Thank you once again.

Kind regards,
Makinde
