Can I Completely Trust My AI? – Asking for a Friend (and a Firewall)

Let’s face it, trusting AI is like trusting a cat with your sandwich: you want to, but deep down, you know it's plotting.

Sure, AI helps write blog posts, fix typos, and remind you that your ex is just a chapter, not the whole novel (thanks, ChatGPT). But can you trust it completely?

Let’s test:

  • You ask AI to write a romantic poem. It delivers Shakespeare-level verses… for your Wi-Fi router. Romantic? Yes. Relevant? Nope.
  • You use AI to plan your grocery list. It includes "quantum bananas" and "1 unit of existential dread". Accurate? Hmm.
  • You ask it to book your trip. You’re off to Mars by Tuesday. Elon would be proud.

The truth is, AI is your super-smart intern, not your CEO. It works best with context, guidance, and a human double-checking for oddball metaphors or alien travel recommendations.

Want to trust AI more? Feed it accurate info, give it clear goals, and please don’t ask it to name your baby. You might end up with a kid named “Crypto Vibes 3000”.

In short, AI is brilliant, but it’s still learning. Like your dog. Or your teenager.

So can you completely trust your AI?

With supervision, yes.

Without it?

Let’s just say… keep your sandwich close.

To our success!

You are right, thanks for sharing! AI helps me with my blog posts and creating images for my posts. However, better check things before posting, like links to studies. I wanted to add some science, research info to my blog post and asked AI to add it while writing a post. It was great, but it had wrong links or non-working ones. So yeah, needed to spend time researching that information myself. We can and maybe should use AI, but we need to use our minds too and recheck things, otherwise we would end up with unreliable articles and information given to our readers.

Hello Linda,

Thank you for your input and contribution.

Just as you have rightly pointed out, double-checkingis very important when using AI in order to prevent hallucination.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I wish you a blessd day.

Totally agree with your assessment here Makinde!!!

AI is the best personal assistant I have ever had... never wants better working conditions, a brand spanking new office or even a pay rise!!!

But.... I am always fact checking anything important she gives me before I put my name to it!!!

Enjoy a wonderful start to your weekend my friend! :-)

Hi,

I appreciate your contribution.

AI is very helpful. It's also getting so addictive.

Being vigilant and fact-checking the information given by AI is a good practice to checkmate AI hallucination.

Thank you for stopping by.

I wish you a blessed day ahead.

Hi,

Thank you for your contribution.

This is just one of those things I think about in my time of reflection: how AI is disrupting the way we used to do things and adding value. But the question still remains: to what extent can I trust this, my new value-adding friend and assistant?

Thank you for stopping by.

I wish you a blessed day ahead.

I think a slightly cautious approach to AI is good. But we shouldn't fear it.

You are so right on point.

AI is has come to put '' an icing on the cake'' of all human endeavours. It must not be feared, but embraced and put to good use, of course with caution, especially in terms of ethics.

I appreciate your contribution to the article.

Thank you for stopping by.

I wish you a blessed day.
