Have you ever talked to Siri, played with ChatGPT, or seen a robot vacuum clean your house?

That’s Artificial Intelligence (AI), smart computer programs that can do one thing really well, like answering questions or driving a car. But they can’t do everything. AI is like a superhero with only one power.

Now imagine a robot that can think, learn, and solve problems just like a human: Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). This kind of AI doesn’t exist yet, but scientists are working on it. AGI would be like having a robot best friend who could go to school, help with homework, cook dinner, and even play soccer! Or are we there already?

But there’s something even bigger: Artificial Superintelligence (ASI). It is a super-smart AI that’s way smarter than all the humans on Earth put together. ASI could solve huge problems like curing diseases or stopping climate change. But it’s also a bit scary because we don’t fully know how to control something so powerful.

Luckily, ASI is still just an idea for now.
