For me, there's always a little bit of fear of failing, but what I fear more is where I will be in 5 years if I do nothing to improve my circumstances and quality of life.

I would rather try and fail than do nothing and stay exactly where I'm at.

Hello! That's me, too. This is one of my all-time favorite quotes by Theodore Roosevelt:

That is indeed a very moving quote.

I love it. I had forgotten about it for a few years. Michelle, above, commented and triggered my memory.

I hope this is the final piece to solve my puzzle. Not having much of a financial security in my future I felt I HAD to find something to help that. WA made sense to me. Hard choice...no! Easy work...no! Opportunity...YES!

I've been hearing and reading about stoicism. I follow everything Tim Ferriss, and when I saw his Ted Talk, I finally got something tangible that I could follow.

Fear comes when an individual is not ready to bear negative consequences thus opts to take the less painful step.

That's why I love this quote so much:
