What happened to my IPAD
I really enjoy going on my IPAD when I'm not feeling so great. I usually go on my recliner and work from my IPAD. Now I can't. My IPAD won't turn on. I even tried charging but nothing happens. I would use my phone but lately I can't see anything from my phone.
I guess I will just have to start using my laptop now. Its just more bulky. Just missing my IPAD.
Does anyone know what could be wrong with my IPAD?
I might see if there is anything I can do....so i will be using google to find some answers.

Oooh sounds like issues I have! My laptop wouldn't switch on the other day but true enough battery in & out (as mentioned below) did the trick! I know what you are saying .. So much easier to work on iPad :)) Hope you sort it soon?
Sometimes you have to take the battery out and back in as well. My laptop does that once in a while. Glad your up and running.
Good news! I got my ipad working! I did do the fast start and it finally worked. I also had it plugged in and left it alone for a while and decided I was going to go to the apple store with it so I unplugged it and it was working again! A Miracle! Thanks everyone for all your help!
As I said, our Apple store wouldn't do anything but trade it in. But the repair store in our local area are the ones who actually take it apart.....and they are the ones that uploaded the pics to a computer. The Apple store didn't suggest any of that. Good luck.
If holding down the power button for several seconds doesn't produce the apple icon, then the light source is gone. A new one is in order. I have an old one and it can't be upgrade to the newest iOS, so a lot of the apps are no good now.
sometimes if you hold down the power button and the menu button for 15 seconds at the same time, it will refresh your ipad or iphone. You can try this before taking it in to the store.
It doesn't always work, but there are times where we have small miracles that happen.
Forgot to say I did take it to Apple store and all they would do is trade it in. You can't fix it without breaking the glass.
The exact thing happened to me when my granddaughter dropped it (12 inches on carpet!) I was sick because it had 2 years of her pics on it. I've taken it in, and they say that it looks like it's the LED or the LCD I can't remember, but it's what lights it up and shows the screen. They were able to hook it up to a computer to download the pics which I am so grateful. To fix it would be $180.00 or they would trade it for a new one of that same genre (a few years old) for $250. Now I'm trying to make the decision what to do........buying a brand new one is about $450. The best to you!
Wish I could help. I swapped my iPad in for Surface 2 by MicroSoft which I like much better. Still, if it doesn't turn on. . . very odd. I would contact Apple. Maybe call the closest Apple store? They may know some tricks you can try. Hope it works again soon!!!
Thanks Carla. I just love my ipad but looks like i might have to get a new one. I will have to wait on that until I can save up enough for a new ipad.
