Rejected? You're Not Alone.
I was actually on a bit of a low today, not long after the start of my new journey, but then I came across this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFWyseydTkQ
I like what he said near the end: Being an entrepreneur is about finding a problem and developing a solution for it.
I wasn't sure if whatever I'm doing now could ever provide value to anyone, but if Jaaxy results are to be believed, then there are people looking for solutions to the problem I've identified. Not a huge amount of people, but the traffic is there.
It's good to have the wind in my sails again. One thing this proves is that sometimes, drifting off to Youtube in the middle of work can be good for productivity!

Being down is occasionally a good thing as it makes the highs so much better
Keep sailing sailor.
It also helps when you have a dream or even just a better idea of what you want to do with your life as compared to a couple months ago when it wasn't quite as clear. When you have something to hold onto, it becomes that much easier to keep driving forward.

You write very well. I enjoy reading your blogs here and your posts on your website. Continue on - writing gives me some sense of satisfaction. Keep writing and keep posting good contents into your websites - pretty soon people will become subscribers and/or followers and would look for anything you write about.
Thanks, Mel. I try :).
It's all proofreading, to be honest. It's always a good idea to go back to an article a week after. It's surprising how many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors you pick up, as well as any problems with the flow in your writing.
But I find I do have a taste for writing, to the point where I'm happy to set entertainment and other distractions aside. That's already a huge improvement compared to 2 months ago where I had trouble figuring out what I wanted to do with my life.
Isn't it crazy how you get blinded to your own errors after you've been looking at a blog post for a while? And then of course they jump out at you after some time has passed, even though you saw and missed them dozens of times while writing the piece.
Maybe because the content is fresh from our minds, it tricks us into believing there aren't many errors other than the obvious ones until your brain has had a chance to switch off for a while. I think that's why you should just throw the content out and come back to it the next day, leaving it in your drafts folder instead of publishing if you must.
Even then, I find that I still miss errors, having waited a day, so the best time would probably be at least a few days later up to a week.
You can become a bit too caught up in the proofreading process though, particularly if you're a perfectionist like me. That's what I find, anyway.
