A few years before I joined Wealthy Affiliate, I used to have a few mini sites that were making me some money. Not much, but some extra money. Apart from the homepages, on which the content was quite good and unique, and some review pages, on most of the pages the content was taken from different websites and mixed together. It wasn’t the quality content. It was duplicate content which did not bring much value to the visitors. I used kind of Gray Hat SEO.
Then, Google Panda and Google Penguin updates came, and my sites rankings were gone, together with the income the sites were bringing. But I have learned a valuable lesson – you can’t fool Google for long anymore.
Since then, after I joined Wealthy Affiliate, I have stuck to the White Hat SEO only. I am not trying to fool the search engines anymore on the site I have built for the Super Affiliate Challenge - https://bestofmakemoneyonline.com/
I wish I had known about Wealthy Affiliate earlier.
