Some days you just have to take the bull by its horns.

I was really having a bad day as my new boss of two months (i had worked for the company for 8 years before he came) thought it would be a good idea to bully me. At this time it was about 18 months since I had lost the love of my life to cancer and this was the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak.

I remember saying to a close friend "what is all this for, Why am I going to work every day to be worked off my feet, unappreciated and abused"? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

SO WHAT DID I DO?

    ·Quite my job?

·Put my home on the market?

·Started looking for a new home?

    ·Looked for a business adventure?

Well I did all of the above

Within 3 hours of putting my London home on the market it was sold. I had no time to think and I certainly hadn't decided where I was going to live. I had no job so I guess I could move anywhere.

A colleague that I had worked with for the last seven years wanted to go into business with me. So I spent several months planning everything and getting things in place for the new business adventure, which we decided was going to be in the north of England (as things were cheaper there) which was 260 miles away from where I lived in London.

Nine months later I moved to a town which I didn't know and where I had no friends.

One week after I moved, the work colleague I was going into business with backed out and left me high and dry.

It's now been three months since I moved to the north of England and here I am, no job, no income and living 260 miles away from all my friends. I could have cried (but I didn't).

Well I am made of strong stuff and decided that feeling sorry for myself wasn't going to get me anywhere.Onwards and Upwards is the way.

Here I am now at WA with a lovely community of new friends building my own website so that I can make some kind of income and work from home. No more crap bosses for me my friends.

I am currently living with no heating (and it coooooold) no wardrobes in which to hang my hundreds of clothes, 54 pair of shoes and 63 handbags, as I am renovating my new home and currently awaiting to get the plans pass by my local council. Hey am I down? No way, life is what it is and it's what you make of it that counts.

I have made some new friends and the town that I have moved to is lovely, its so very different from the London Rat race.

If you are unhappy with your lot, then don't moan, do something about it. The only person that can change your life is you. Yeah sure you will have bad days but doesn't everyone now and again? If you want your garden to grow then you should expect to cope with a little rain along with the sunshine.

Just keep smiling folks. Life's a rainbow.
