Twenty-Fourth Month of WA - Two Years At WA!

About a month ago, July 10, I received a notification from Wealthy Affiliate congratulating me on being a premium member for two years now. It has already been two years since I got into all this blogging stuff. I learned and went through so much. I believe now is when everything starts paying off. Welcome to my WA post on my Twenty-Fourth Month of WA!

I Didn't Do Too Much...

Well, the month of July was basically the same as the month of June. If you have been following me, you might have noticed that I was spending a lot of time helping my parents prepare our house for sale as well as increasing my part-time job work hours.

As a result, I did not make much progress on anything for the month of July.

But I did start seeing the real potential of affiliate marketing and passive income. Even though I didn't write much, articles that I wrote from before were generating affiliate commissions.

And that's the power of affiliate marketing and passive income. It's a lot of hard work in the beginning, but once everything gets going, you can take a few days off and still earn money.

For me, my problem is that commissions are pretty random right now, but the solution to that problem is pretty obvious; I just have to focus for real and consistently get more done.

Affiliate Commissions From Medium

I've spent some time writing on Medium, and it's been rewarding me. In addition to the Medium Partner Program, the I've been getting the occasional commission from a course I talked about in a few of my posts.

The commissions were pretty nice. 30% of a $400 course has gotten me some nice pocket change. I got about $100 in commissions from July from two people which is really nice.

And that's what I mean by the power of affiliate marketing and passive income. I got these commissions off of a post I wrote a long time ago. So while I was busy doing other things, I managed to get $148 without doing anything.

All I need is consistency which is why I need to focus and post more.

Two Years At WA

I learned so much in these past two years. I failed a ton of times.

But each failure has made me stronger and things are definitely about to change very soon for me. Over time, I slowly understood what it takes to make money online and how to go about it.

Honestly, these two years have been insane. I feel like I learned more in these two years than 12 years at school.

Blogging has definitely changed my life. Although I didn't reach any of my income goals, the skills I have gained are more than worth it.

And now it's time for me to make these newfound skills pay off.

There Will Be More... I Promise

Admittedly, these last two months have been rather unproductive. This post is also a month late like the last one.

But things will change for sure. I'm getting a lot more done as August comes to a close and I will let everyone know as soon as possible!
