Eighth Month of WA - Progress?

This post is definitely a little late. It's been about a whole week from my scheduled time of writing this. But, here I am documenting what I've done.

As always, here's my last month's post: Seventh Month Of WA

The last month has been rather weird. I've been seeing some growth but at the same time, no growth. Completely contradictory right? Basically the numbers are going up but I did almost nothing at all.

Here's what happened this month starting with my badminton site.

Get Good At Badminton

Normally, I separate my posts into what happened and goals for the next month. But in this post, Get Good At Badminton deserves her own little section.

Let's start with what I did and didn't do.

The good news first? I started up my Instagram account for this site and made myself a little social media marketing plan. My Instagram acount is still relatively small though. I haven't been actively trying to get followers by following others and commenting; I've only been posting and attempting to get organic followers. So currently, my account sits at 8 followers and 22 posts. Amid the low follower and engagement on my account, someone from the company Alien Pros (sells specially designed overgrips for baseball bats, badminton rackets, tennis rackets, and more) reached out to me to become an Ambassador. The company is quite small and the only thing I'll be getting are free grips and discounts but hey, every bit of exposure matters. Basically they'll feature me on their Instagram page and I'll feature them on my blog and such when I use their grips.

Bad news? Well, I didn't get to do what I had planned last month which was start on videos. It was quite unfortunate. On top of that, I haven't posted on Get Good At Badminton since January 28, 2019! It's almost been two months since...

The interesting thing though, the site hasn't tanked but instead it's reaping the rewards from previous blogs and climbing right now. I've actually broken over 1000 users quite recently and now seeing over 20 visitors on my site everyday from organic search. Definitely a great improvement from the 5-10 last month.

In terms of money though? I guess I could say that I've made my "first sale". I haven't made my first Amazon affiliate commission but the money from Google Adsense is pretty close to the first sale. It has now accumulated to about $3 vs the 68 cents from last month. So that's pretty good growth in terms of percentage (over 500%) but in terms actually changing my life, no impact at all.

One of the main reasons I haven't been able to do much was because I spent a week in Baltimore, Washington D.C., and New York with my family which was a blast but I wasn't able to get anything done. It didn't help that my internet was down for 3 days when I got back too. However, this has only made my motivation go higher.

Next month I'm going to go content crazy. Since spring break starts next week, it's time for me to write 4 blog posts everyday (multiple websites) and up my social marketing. Videos are also a high priority as well. I need to make a few Amazon sales soon before my account gets rejected again.

The Others

As for the other sites? Well I haven't posted in a while on any of them and they haven't been seeing much growth on the front end.

On the back end, I'm building new ways to make money off of the sites and preparing them for big things. I'll tell everyone about that in the next post (should I accomplish it).
