Eighteenth Month of WA - Rebound

Hi WA friends, it's been quite a while. The first month of 2020 is already over! It's time to talk about my results and goals for the month of February.

Today will also be the start of a new blogging style for my monthly reports. I noticed that writing in full sentences during the entire post isn't entirely helpful to me or many people, especially when I want to see the numbers quickly to look at growth and changes.

That's why I will start listing my stats down in bullet points. My thoughts will still be in full sentences, though.

Let's jump right in!

January Stats - Huge Rebound

January was a huge rebound from December. Almost everything had a great increase.

My main site, Get Good At Badminton, naturally rebounded. Plus, I made a few developments in the right direction.

I regained my habit of writing every day and have made significant progress on Medium.

Some things did fall in January and many other things remained stagnant, however.

Let's get into the numbers themselves:

Get Good At Badminton has rebounded quite a bit from December. I had 1,000 more users in January than I did in December.

Plus, those users translated into earnings. It's not much, but I have reached the 3 sales required for Amazon Associates once again. Fingers crossed, this time they accept me.

Google Adsense isn't spectacular as I have earned more on other months, but it is better than December as well.

My biggest move was finally creating another YouTube video. It was 7 months since I produced the last one and honestly, I'm quite surprised with what I produced.

My very first video has actually collected over 30k views and all 200 of my subscribers came from that video. For the next month I want to really start becoming more consistent at producing videos, but that's for later.

Pinterest has risen as well to 12.2k monthly viewers, but it hasn't made any significant impact. Same thing with Facebook and Twitter which are still stagnant.

Instagram is my biggest worry for Get Good At Badminton, I have been dropping followers quite rapidly and losing a lot of engagement.

Hopefully for the month of February, I can rebuild my Instagram and create more value for my followers.

Medium (Personal Blog):

Stats:

• Views: 190
• Reads: 103
• Followers: 0
• Partnership Earnings: $0.14

Medium is a website where you set up an account and you can start blogging without setting up WordPress or your own website.

I use Medium mainly to just blog about whatever I feel like talking about. It's mostly become personal development stuff.

On Medium, I can't put Google Adsense onto my blog posts and I generally don't put in any affiliate links either.

Earnings will solely come from the Medium Partnership program as reading stories on Medium does require a $5 monthly membership.

Those $5 from each member gets split up and sent to various authors depending on what the member read.

I don't really care about my earnings on Medium, but it's cool to see consistent writing pay off.

I've been trying my best to get one blog post out per day. I was pretty close with 25 posts written.

Goals Of February - Consistency

If you have read my seventeenth month of WA post, you'll know that one of my goals this year is to be able to consistently write 3 blog posts per day.

I am slowly building the habits and the discipline to be able to do that.

For February, I want to be a lot more consistent and go content crazy. I also want to finally finish up the bonuses I was creating to promote Wealthy Affiliate and finally get going on my website in the MMO niche.

New Blog Posts:

• 29 (1 per day) On Medium
• 15 On Get Good At Badminton
• 5 On KAZSMoney (website in MMO niche)

New Videos:

• 10 for Get Good At Badminton

Misc:

• 1 New Wealthy Affiliate Training
• 3 e-books (two are just templates and short tips)

I would be ecstatic this month if my Get Good At Badminton YouTube channel reaches the monetization mark, but that is a hopeful thought.

As for the website redesign plan I had made a while back, I am going to make a few small changes.

As you noticed, I'm going to push myself to create more videos which is step 5 of the original website redesign plan. YouTube videos are now going to be a part of step 2, improving my old content, which I am still on.

I will move making a nice website design down to step 4 from step 3 as well because I decided that before I spend any more money on tools such as Elementor or various premium themes, I would like to make a profit with what I have first.

With so much to do this month, it's time to get to work!
