Revisiting Goals
As in every endeavor, I think it is good to take time off and clear your mind. This week has served as that time for me. I wish I could report that I had done something awesome, but that is not the case.
We are in the middle of a heatwave in my small-town Utah. It's been over 100 for a few days in a row, and our AC is out! Added to that is the fact that I am 8 months pregnant, and I have not been a happy camper! I have spent the week going to visit friends with central air, shopping in stores that have it and taking the kids to the splash pads or pools as often as possible--anything to stay cool!
However, this week I have also learned the benefits of relaxing both body and mind and taking the time for self. I have been reading a few books on the topic that have given me new perspective, and I am coming back to my website with renewed vision and goals for the next several days/weeks.
The good news is in all the craziness, I finally feel ready to start adding affiliate links and/or adsense ads to my site, and have gotten approval from a few different programs. I am hoping I can get a few campaigns up and running to figure out what does/does not work before my little one arrives, and life takes on a new adventure.
Before due day, I also want to:
- Continue building out my site with 2-3 posts per week
- Finish Bootcamp Trainings by (I am on course 5! and looking forward to the newly announced course to-be-added!)
- Revamp website (ie-- use headers, change around posts/pages, add another category to drop down, etc)
- Check into video software described and see if that is something I want to incorporate onto my site
I have 7 weeks until he/she arrives to accomplish the above! Wish me luck!

Basically about two to three years hard full time work and you should be able to quit your day job. Everyone is different of course. I talk with many members working full time and have been here over a year with very little to show for it. The second, third and fourth year are the turning years which take us from poverty and working for free, to making a full time living and beyond! I can't wait to get to the beyond part!
I wish we were close! I could have fixed your a/c and you could have paid me back over time! Seeing the situation. I try to help all I can with cooling and heating as I used to do it professionally.
I am afraid 100 over a few days they would be scraping me off the pavement.When we have really hot days which were about 2 weeks ago I take the dog out in the morning and the evening and sit inside in the shade as I do not like it that much.
I can't stand the heat, but it seems our house is hotter than outside! So we go play in the water to cool off, or go visit friends with AC. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!
Hi Kelly, Wow - over 100! with your AC down you must be baking. I thought it was hot here in the UK, but with temps around 85 we're languishing in relative cool compared to you! With taking time off, I must take a leaf from your book, as I'm guilty of going as hoc if I don't check myself, so thanks for that Kelly. Oh yeah... good luck with the new arrival, and I think Simon (below) is right, he might even be head-hunted by Google at 8! Take care, and stay cool.
Oh dear Kelly, what can I say? Every time I read about you, there's another challenge you are facing. Now its 100 degrees as well. I reckon he/she is going to be one tough baby and I reckon she will have conquered keywords, affiliate links and adwords by the time she is 3 and being headhunted by Google at 18! All by osmosis!

Hello Kelly. We have the opposite weather to you, here in Australia. It's freezing. I just took another look at your site. It's coming along well, with a lot of smart ideas. I like this quote from your site "You can be wrong 95% of the time and it still won’t keep you from success.” Keep up the good work. I hope you see some success over the next 7 weeks.
