Croatia and Fifa World cup
I am not in a anyway attempting to spoil the party for the
Croats. Not at all.
But truth be told, I am talking about the FIFA World Cup, the prestigio -us trophy of the elite club - the Brazils, the Germanys, the Netherlands, the France, and the Britains.
These served as the G-8 of the world football fraternity. All others also took part.
The Russia Fifa World cup 2018 has shown that the Game is now with the others.
At the semi-final stage, the paired countries were
France verses Belgium
Croatia verses England
The obvious runaway pair for the final will be anybody's guess.
On Sunday, the form and make of the Russia FIFA World Cup 2018 will be decided between
France and Croatia
I can only be a good spectator in this era of great uncertainties in the Game.
I still may want it for Croatia, I don't know about you!
But the beautiful fact we must remember everyday is that like many other things, the old is giving way to the new.

I am from England so a bit sad we didn’t make it to the final. Part of me wants France to win as they have played the best football in the tournament but part of me wants Croatia to win as they have never won it before, or even been in the final before.
What is wonderful is that football (soccer) has enabled the world to see the true Russia and not just its leaders. The one consistent story coming through has been the friendliness and huge welcome that all the fans have had.
So, who to win?

Croatia was a great team and the revelation of this World cup. And they played...
Playing against a defensive team that hoped on cornerns, penalties and free shots is not what one expected .
In a way it is a blame for the champions...
