Addition to existing Facebook blog hurt rankings.

From all appearances the recent additions I made to a Facebook blog that uses the business name Clover Enterprises hurt me rather than helping me. That blog previously had mentions of expunge55.com and startupcomm.com. It now has recent postings added for cloverchess.com. I changed my cover image. I saw my Google rankings on cloverchess.com drop after creating the new postings. In the case of Bing and yahoo they are not listing cloverchess.com at all unless someone types in the exact site title or exact domain address.

Have you checked for key words and what people are searching for?

Marty

That was done quite some time ago. The only way someone is likely to reach my site on an organic search is by typing a very specific chess product advertised on my site and only with Google and always with a different landing page than the front page.

KD I am having the exact same issue right now, and so I am sorry I can not be of help to you right now. If you are able to find a solution to the problem, let me know and I will too.
Thank you for your question.
Linda

I don't know of any way to delete a Facebook posting once you've added it. I still can't figure out the search engines. But they are secretive regarding their exact algorithms. So what you here about how they rank sites is only partially correct. I've heard that Bing is less up-to-date in the info it uses to rank your site than Google. I've heard that Bing only indexes the front page. Google indexes all of them and may send visitors to any page, not necessarily the front page. I've heard that Bing favors sites which have videos. Mine has no videos.

Thank you for that information and You are right because I have heard much of the same thing. I am thinking of doing a video for my site.
Thanks KD,
Blessings to you,
Linda
