My First Sales!

I got the proof I most desperately needed today - I made 2 sales!!

It couldn't have happened at a better time because earlier this afternoon I told a friend that I was beginning to lose motivation. The reason?

Deep down I didn't think all the effort I was putting into my site was worth it, or that I would generate any sort of income whatsoever. I was on the verge of quitting.

On my first day here at WA, I posted my goals on one of the boards;

"I'd love to make £1000 per month but I'd be happy earning anything, even £10 per month, just to know that it works..."

I am now 7 weeks into my journey and I have gone from knowing absolutely nothing about websites, the internet, social networks or marketing, to having a business, a website, which is already ranking on page 1 of Google and getting it's first sales.. I was completely clueless about any of this, but I stuck at it, I followed the training and I hoped for the best.

Now, let's go back to where I lost my motivation..

Well, I was feeling a little down about my site tonight, so I decided to get started on another one. (I know, we all advise against it but I was feeling a little bummed out!) So, I was having trouble thinking of a new niche and decided to turn to Amazon for inspiration.

It was by chance that I accidentally logged into my Amazon Associates account, and I was just about to close the tab when it caught my eye - 2 sales, dated yesterday!

Needless to say I practically sprinted to the phone to call my mother. She never believed I would make a penny from doing this - she ate her words and, quite rightly, she changed her tune. "Stick at it, keep it up. Well done!"

Now, I'm a Mummy's girl and I always take her advice. But I had such a good feeling about WA that I chose to ignore her, and I'm so glad I did.

I just earned my "anything" and now that I know it works, I've got my motivation back!

So my advice is, believe in yourself and ignore those who don't. It will happen, I'm proof! I'm not a good writer and I still don't know as much as I really should, but it's working! And I did it all by myself :D
