I Have Found My Voice!
I have been blogging for years, from when I sold Avon to a trigonometry blog. While they would be appealing looking they were very dry and not a lot of fun.
I based my writing on news reporters of yester year. Man in a suit looking at the camera and reporting the news. No smile, no talking to co-anchors just flat, unemotional reporting.
Somehow or other I got the idea that when writing content if I wanted to be taken seriously and as a knowledgeable person I had to write and sound like that news guy.
Then I came to Course 4, Lesson 2 “Engage” and everything changed. I learned I can be me and that more people would be interested in my style then a dry news anchor. They would still think I am knowledgeable if I created quality content but using my personality in my posts.
So know I look at my newer posts and they are soooo different then my old stuff. What a difference. Even I like reading it!
Now to find the time to rewrite my other pages that I wrote before I came to that lesson while still creating new content.
So much work, so much work.

That's awesome, Katie. It's good to really find yourself in your writing, and I'm glad you have. Congratulations!
Kathleen, it's great when you can visibly and undeniably see for yourself how much you've improved.
Nice, too, to have that "aha!" moment, as you did.
We all change and evolve over time Katie and while I agree it's a lot of work to change old stuff, it will be worth it in the end :)
