I hear what you are saying, my opinion is that when you start a website, the focus should not be so much on making the money, that will come naturally,

when you write about something, your readers can sense in your writing style whether you are sincere and passionate or not, so your niche has to be something you really enjoy and know well, you will not be able to bring across that enthusiasm to your visitors if you are not knowledgeable and sincere.

You have to deliver quality content to enable your visitors to want to return to your site regularly for that good useful content, monetizing it a bit by bit as you progress, at least this is how I am doing it, and I feel that my progress is steady, not slow or fast but steady.

I have been in the vehicle maintenance and repairs industry all my adult life 30+ years and 25+ years as a repair shop owner, being hands on and passionate,

Repeat business and recommendations due to reliable work and high work ethic is what makes me successful, I am just carrying that over to my online business, same successful principles.

Don't rush you are in it for the long haul do it right, look after your visitors, provide them with a quality service and they will be your visitors/clients for a long time. I am now following you.
