I've Changed My Routine
These past few weeks, I've been working on my website and after only a couple of hours becoming really tired and have had to take a nap. Before I know it, I've slept over two hours, got very little done on my website and still got house work to do.
Working continuously at a PC screen is not good for anyone, you have to take a break and re-charge your batteries. It might just be that you need go for a walk - and get some fresh air in the process.
I realise now, that i need to change my routine - but then that's the beauty of being your own boss, it's entirely up to you how you work and what works best for you.
My plan now, is to work on my website first thing in the morning, and when I become sleepy, I get up and do some house work - that is all it will take to wake me up and by not sleeping in the day time, I'll probably sleep better at night.
After I've done some ironing or any other household chore, I feel refreshed enough to go back to working on my business and I've ticked another job off my housework list.
Not only that - I don't recommend sleeping on your keyboard. It really isn't that comfortable and you end up with square key marks all over your face and arms.

Lol re the square marks Pauline!
If it works for you, go for it. I'm a great believer in taking breaks and refreshing your mind :)
Been there, done that....lol
Yes, a change in routine does help you stay awake. It also helps the creative juices to flow better.
Someone did a post recently about using a Pomodoro Timer and the routine is 25 minutes on and 5 minutes off to keep you alert while doing a long stint on your computer!!

You are absolutely on point. I work on my site and sometimes accomplish nothing, take a break and feel guilty about leaving it to do other chores which must be done. I am trying now to come up with a routine where I can do some of both and get some rest in between.
