A "Done For You" Approach.
I've been wrestling a lot these past few months trying to figure out exactly what I want to do.
It's weird... I have done this before (built niche authority sites) so I know this model definitely works. Still... I don't have much interest in actually doing it. Maybe I am just bored with this approach because I did it before and not a fan of the time it takes.
Anyway, so I have been looking around at various online income models trying to find what is it that I really want to do and what exactly is it that I am looking for as far as support.
Over the past several weeks, I arrived at the conclusion that what I am looking for... is to not spend so much time working writing content to build my own niche websites. Because I just don't have much interest in it.
And what I am looking for is more of some kind of mentoring program and actually even better more like a "Done For You" approach. I actually found both of those things finally. So now am deciding between the two.
For me personally... I enjoy helping other people. Even at my job I spend some of my time nearly every day mentoring & otherwise helping my co-workers. So I think that is more of the path I might be best suited for.
Anyway, for me personaly, after spending many years learning this stuff on my own in isolation... learning, doing, "failing", repeat til creates success... I realized I am kind of "burnt out" on that approach.
I don't want to spend my time just going through learning material or continually working in complete isolation building content sites. I don't get much satisfaction from it in itself.
I mean I love learning... but am burnt out on learning through reading ebooks, reading articles, watching videos, listening to podcasts, etc. I have always been very heavily into self-study my entire life.
So... this is why I am looking for a higher quality of learning. A mentor who has actually already consistently built online incomes using a model that suits my desired lifestyle.
And then I thought... you know... I remember hearing about "Done For You" stuff. Most people always knock such things and say it is no good. I used to even think the same. Granted, that is probably because most of the time that stuff was some kind of replicated affiliate page to promote and that kind of thing is not what I am talking about.
Anyway... I thought... what would be ideal for me personally is to find something where I can simply pay one or more people to work with them to build an online business with me... so I can see firsthand exactly how they approach it... and I end up owning that online income.
Now that is TRUE VALUE. I completely get that it depends on where a person is at in their own life. For me, I am at the point where I am able & willing to spend my money on a much more personalized training and online business building in the form of a mentorship working with folks building an online business with & for me.
And I actually finally found it. It costs $2,000 per month and, while being a LOT of money and not something I take lightly at all, to me it kind of seems like a great deal simply because there comes a point where results & time are much more meaningful than trying to spend as little money as possible is. I mean if you knew you could spend $2k per month to end up with a very solid online income in 6 months because there are other people who have done it many times actually working on building your business... is it worth it? I think it probably is. A lot of cash though. Definitely a risk as always.
I think this is a big challenge that so many people have. In general. And we see it here as well. Community is awesome but I see people struggling continually trying to not only understand it all, learn, develop the skills and actually build the site(s) too. And yes they can go over the articles & videos training again & again & again and build a site, scrap it, build another, scrap it, build again. But we have to ask is this really the most efficient way?
And that got me to thinking... an awesome addition to Wealthy Affiliate would be to provide some kind of coaching / mentorship build your niche authority site with you service. Basically a so called "Done For You" service.
I get it... it wouldn't be for everyone and some people will gladly spend years trying to figure it all out for themselves do it all themselves. But for many others I believe it would provide massive value.
It could even be offered in a sort of modular form... maybe there is coaching / mentoring package with someone working with people to choose their niche (this is an area many people struggle with), next could be Done For You to set up the site theme, the legal compliance, etc, and so on to even include a true Done For You option of coaching / mentorship working with you to build your site up to the point where it is consistently making $500 (or maybe even $1,000) per month income.
It is a much higher quality of training personalized to the individual. And it provides actual real help with one or more people actually working with you to build your niche site online income. Of course, this level of personalized direct training and working to build the sites could not be done for free or even a very low cost. It would have to be an amount to cover the people's time doing it. But I imagine the success rate would skyrocket.
Anyway, just wanted to share those thoughts and see what others think of such a thing. Again, I know there are people who believe in always doing things the hardest way. I get it. Because I was that way. lol
The thing is... there is still plenty to learn and plenty to do. A person would still be learning & doing... they just wouldn't be doing it all on their own relying completely on articles and videos.

Interesting idea. Today, I wrote a post on my blog about mentoring others. It sounds like the opposite of what you propose. I am an options trader and love talking to other traders about trading the markets. I am looking for ways to offer coaching through my site. I can understand your point of view. It is a long process and it must be something you like to do. No quick fixes at any level.

Yeah that's it. We all have our own unique background and perspective.
I've always done everything myself. Learning, doing. I enjoyed it and I think I felt a sense of pride going "lone wolf" on everything. But... as the years have passed I can see where it has made it all so much harder and more time consuming than it ever needed to be.
And I think of my job and how nearly every day instead of people wasting their time trying to figure everything out do it all on their own banging their head on something (a complex SQL query or other technical challenge) days or weeks on end... instead after spending a couple of hours or so they would reach out and ask me to help them so I would spend an hour on the phone and they shared their screen and we worked through it (I work from my home for my job. Had that goal for 12 years and finally achieved it many years back).
Over time, of course, they did that less and less. The thing is... it is just a much more efficient way of learning and making progress to simply find someone who is experienced and get their help firsthand.
Like with me, sometimes I just walked them through updating their existing stuff bit by bit while explaining why I changed this and that and other times I just wrote it for them. But even when I designed and created the solution for them I still showed them where the problem was in theirs and why it did not work as they expected, how the solution I provided worked, etc.
And once you do that... they KNOW it and never have that issue again.
So... that is where this blog came from. My own experience in what I have been looking for and my own experience in being the one providing that kind of service. It really just makes no sense for a person to spend hours, days or even weeks banging their head against the wall when they can consult with someone more experienced who can help them solve their problem and gain a deep understanding by simply spending 1 or 2 hours directly working with them.

Thanks. Yeah I think it would be a huge value to a lot of people. And just to clarify I am not talking about me actually providing this.
I have been looking for a higher quality level of training and "working with me" service for myself and only recently found a couple of opportunities (based around building a niche site of creating my own product / service, etc).
There is so much garbage out there. Like YT seems to have thousands, if not tens of thousands, of self-proclaimed coaches and mentors for building online income and I think it is clear that in most cases they have no success (and probably little actual experience) outside of their coaching business which is based primarily on parroting things they have read or heard others say online.
This is more something that I think would be cool for WA itself to provide... even if it was via members here.
The most I ever made from a niche authority site was $1,600 per month many years ago. Basically, if someone has built niche authority sites MULTIPLE TIMES and achieved $3k or more monthly profit from at least one of those websites I would consider those people to be well qualified to do the coaching / mentoring Done For You service.
I am thinking... such people could likely help people to go through the process and work with them to build their niche site up to the point it is making $500 or even $1,000 per month profit.
The thing is it is not easy. It takes a lot of effort & time learning, developing skills and then a lot of time doing the actual work of building the asset. There are so many things that can be done wrong. People can do it based on reading articles, watching videos and doing the work, failing and trying to figure out what the problem is. It i just a very inefficient way to do it in my opinion.
Someone well experienced (not just regurgitating something they read online or heard someone say in a video) can look at their site and talk to them for 15 minutes or so and quite likely say "Oh this is the problem! Change this!".
Anyway, yeah let's see how it goes. :)
