My pride, my first love has graduated!

Okay dear people from WA! Today I am the most proud aunt in the world!!! My first sunshine, my dearest niece by sister has graduated, on a very serious and amazing subject, which is applicable in all spheres in our life. She was a student of English language and literacy and so far, I knew she was amazingly good student, but yesterday, on the defending day, she showed how mature and serious young lady she is.

The threat of technological advancement, censorship and conformism in Ray Bradbury’s novel Fahrenheit 451 and RaminBahrani’s 2018 movie adaptation of the book, as well as their relevance in the past and in the present day.

Sounds serious? It is serious, it is something we should be aware of, every day of our life, because we see how the world is changing, mass media is changing, the Internet has already changed our life.

Since everything now can happen online, and everything is online, I attended her graduate subject defend online, and I thought I am going to faint, how excited I was! She was calm, focused, with accurate points of what is shown in the book and what we live in today, with excellent comparison.

The professors were really blown away, and I could see their faces while she was defending her subject of choice. They showed full respect for this young lady, cherishing her knowledge, depth and approach to the subject.

I remember when she was born, almost 23 years ago, I used to wait for her to be breastfed to "steal" her and walk her in her stroller. The day she was born, the 3rd of December 1998, I will remember forever! My first words on my morning show were: good morning world, today I became an aunt! Being a mother now, I see that I had two important roles in my path. To be an aunt and a mother.

I am totally emotional now, I am proud, I am crying and laughing at the same time, because I know the world is waiting for her! There are not enough good words to describe my feelings for my dearest baby niece girl in my world!

And yes, I made a cake for this special day! Have I mentioned ever that I love to cook and make cakes?
