Amazon affiliate links don't work for me

Well, it frustrates me. Really. And I am trying my best, to review, to recap, to reread, to re watch every video or training of adding affiliate links, and Amazon always, always makes this mission impossible for me. For today's post on my page, I did the editing in Word Press and I had to use "add media" button (even though I didn't want to insert a picture, just the text) to add the link. And yes, it is successful, but I didn't want it like this, I wanted only a text! Not the graphic, because I don't like the graphics, I simply want to add link in text. And I have no idea what am I doing wrong, because I can do all of this with other affiliate links, but not Amazon. So far, the only thing that really frustrates me is their affiliate links. I wrote them an email, so I will wait for them to help if they can, but I have to ask here in the community, is there anyone else has Amazon problems?
