Persistence.and the early bird

Its 3 AM on a Saturday. Our day started an hour and 2 cups of coffee ago. We have a different schedule than most people because of our jobs and the days are 12 to 14 hours long.

I write for a while before work each day and then again during my lunch hour to try and squeeze in enough time to make progress and then for a few hours on Saturday before starting chores and errands. There is no time to unplug.

I studied writing all through school and into college. I wanted to be a writer. Later I took remote courses in creative writing and received lists of places I could contact to try to begin my career as a freelance writer. But trying to keep the bills paid with a day job can hamper things.

One day I had an idea to make money online and discovered Wealthy Affiliate during my search. Writing blog posts isn't the same animal as writing stories or magazine articles. I needed to adapt to new ways of thinking and new format styles.

So, hear I sit at 3AM. Just finished going over receipts and bills and now it's time to work on my next post.

I've been doing this now for three years and still not getting any real traffic. I'm getting better but somehow I'm not finding that sweet spot just yet. What am I doing wrong?

I'm on my third cup of coffee now and......%@!%%.......another fruit fly just took a skinny dip in my cup. Ok.......maybe cup number four will be better.

Lets pull up that last article from Partha and read it again. I want to make sure I'm capturing everything in my process. And he keeps me inspired.

Oh look....there's a new post from Fluf...fluf...fluffy....what did he call her? Ok, Diane Scorpio, with the latest into the mind of Google reasoning. And I see she also responded to one of my questions. Awesome.

She pointed out what I should have seen already at the bottom of the page and looked into. Don't I feel stupid.........Naw........sometimes it just takes a second set of eyes. And I appreciate that.

Now what am I going to write about this morning? I could go on the Wealthy Affiliate and just ramble awhile and be social.

That last cup of coffee is gettin' cold and my candle is burnin' low. Let's get motivatin'.

My daddy told me growin up the world ain't fair. And he was right. You gotta make it happen yourself or your gonna get run over. No one else cares.

And you haven't failed if you haven't quit. It's just a work in progress and success may be just out of reach. It only takes that next post you write that might be the milestone. But if you didn't go that extra bit you would never know there was a treasure just around the bend. Never give up.

All you Wealthy Affiliate people out there just gettin up to start your day......daylight is comin to ya. I can see it comin up over the edge of the world now.
