I have read many blogs about the training and how people want to know, "when will they see the money". One of my good friends in the Community has a quote at the end of his profile reminding members, "Rome wasn't built in a day". Want Success at Wealthy Affiliate? Then let me give you a heads up on what it takes.
Who am I
In 1987 I was employed at a small manufacturing business of 25 people including management. I reported to the owner as assembly manager. I was injured in an accident losing most of my index finger on my right hand. I received a sum of $6,000 because of the accident. I decided to invest this small sum in a business. I did my due diligence investigating different business opportunities that were available from different sources.
Key point
My choice was an office cleaning franchise. Why?....
- With a relatively small investment a franchise guaranteed a monthly income. If you focus and commit to success you can do it.
- Equipment was included. (Your Resources)
- Training was included.
- My father had operated a cleaning business part-time and I had helped.
- Though I have a degree in polymer engineering I had always wanted to have my own business.
- The ROI of a franchise business could possibly be made in as little as 1year.
Many of the key points mirror those of Wealthy Affiliate:
- Low initial investment.
- Training needed is available and included.
- Resources needed to be successful are available.
- You have a choice of online businesses to be involved in and even more than one.
- Your ROI is based on how much you want to invest and if you know me, how much you focus and commit to being successful.
How to be successful
How do you last over 20 years in a business?
- Most businesses fail within the first year. Learn to take advice and pay attention to detail. Pay attention to the experts and ask questions. (Sound familiar)
- Expand your business slowly. Re-invest and grow your resources. This will help you expand. (Patience)
- Never...Never stop learning or training. More profit comes from efficiency. Efficiency comes from using the tools that you have... wisely. (Learn how to use the tools)
- Stay Focused And Committed. (My favorite two words and add to those Persistent)
Grow at a steady pace. Don't surpass your level of competence. It will only lead to quick failure. (Once again, be patient)
Who I Am Today
I am a proud premium member of Wealthy Affiliate and a contributor in the WA Community. This is my new home. I don't know about you, but I am focused and committed to being successful in my online enterprises. I know what it takes to be successful and I am focused and committed.

I don't know about the blood and tears, but you would certainly have sweated the sweat needed to succeed in your business, and it is great coming from you, to recognize and define WA as another real and long haul business opportunity, perhaps minus the sweat, but requiring those other same attributes, and to be focussed and committed, to succeed. A post such as this will serve well to get those with no business experience to lower the rose coloured glasses and take in what is needed to succeed.
