My Progress at WA!
Hey All,
I am so excited to be making headway here as I am finally starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel!
So far I have:
1) created a website for JasonsGuitarHub.
2) Within it I have posted several pages and posts that are now linking to some affiliate links within the content.
3) Added images and also linked some of those to Affiliate links.
4) Added tracking as well as some Media connections to pinterest account.
TO DO:
1) I still need to make the Homepage look more Professional but am struggling with the Page manager as I messed up and was making pages instead of posts and somehow got the Homepage messed up. The Main page editor does not allow me to set a background image as a nice banner so if anyone is skilled in this and wants to help please do!
2) Need to add plugins for Twitter, FB, and G+ with the little Box showing number with the buttons below each like Kyle had in his tutorial. Anyone Happen to know exactly which plugin to use to get those? I would be thrilled!
3) Finish basic training and then ATTACK the Affiliate Bootcamp! :)
I have not made any money at all thus far so any tips and tricks to get this to happen would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!~ Jason

Hi Jason, I use Ultimate social media plugin . Works fine. I use Ashe as my theme. Allows you to put a background image in the header. Some can be limited unless you upgrade. Perhaps just view a couple of changes via preview first perhaps before you save, Also you can create a backup of your existing site so you can then revert to it if you mess up.
Sweet Thank you! Another Question, Can I change themes without messing up posts and content?
Well, I have to say my posts did look quite different, so I had to fix quite a few....so this is the downside to making a change. Unless of course, you're not too concerned with older posts. I just went through 25 of mine to make them look better because of a theme change. Mind you some of my earlier posts I was new at so they probably didn't look that flash anyway e.g. image placement etc.
I think the degree of difference could be minimal if at all or great depending on which one you choose. Mine just happened to be significant.
Eww...I just had a sense of deja vu (had to mention it).
Welcome to the I initial screw up club. Don't feel bad about it.
Since your website is quite new research other themes to find one with the features more suited to your niche. Then do a transfer.
Just a suggestion. It's totally up to you though.
Cheers.
Edwin
thanks Doc! So what kind of Doc are you? I graduated as a Chiropractic Doc myself, but need to do boards now
I have a doctorate in education. My son has a chiropractic practice. He really loves it. Had a chance to work with the Toronto Blue Jays but decided he didn't want the traveling.

Way to go, Jason, you are making good progress, just keep on going. Everyone advises us to do that a good reason, because at the end of the day, it works.
Thanks Alex
