My progress with WA - 10 days

Phew, what a crazy 10 (well, almost 11) days it's been! I came to WA never having so much as created a website, avoiding social networks like the plague, and otherwise being entirely ignorant of how internet marketing actually works.

Although I'm still a complete noob at this, I can't believe how much I've accomplished in such a short time either. That's entirely down to WA, Kyle's fantastic, clear, concise, step-by-step training, and the endless wealth of information available via discussions and being able to ask questions in live chat (or even just read it).

My First 9 Days

The first 9 days I had a starter membership. I desperately wanted to go premium, but was utterly broke. So, during that time, I completed the getting started training, set up a site on siterubix, spent as much time as I could in live chat, and generally fumbled around trying to make heads or tails of what I could without having premium access.

TIP FOR STARTERS: If you can go premium and you're serious about doing this, do it NOW. Seriously, don't waste time and energy. You'll thank me, I promise.

I did manage to figure some stuff out and get a few posts indexed by Google, although certainly not ranking uber high, but man, my father really saved the day for me. See, I'm now working on this not just full-time, but overtime, because I'm operating on borrowed time.

I've Got About 6 Weeks

My father invested in my hopes and dreams with a loan that enabled me to go premium and focus on this, and this alone. I've got about 6 weeks to start producing at least marginally livable income ($2500/mo), otherwise it's game over and back to a regular 9-5 sort of gig (are any jobs really 9-5 anymore? hehe).

Give the usual timelines, I'm not sure if I have a realistic hope in the world of making this a full-time job in such a short time, but lord help me, I'm gonna give it everything I've got.

The Past 36 Hours

And in that spirit, the major bits of my last 36 hours have looked like this:

• Bought my own domain
• Transferred my siterubix site to new domain
• Got the site all set up with Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics
• Completely redesigned my site, new theme and all
• Created a twitter account for the business and began tweeting and following
• Created a Google+ account and started posting content and following
• Linked Google+ to my site for authorship
• Wrote several new pieces of content
• Received approval for 2 affiliate programs related to my niche
• Added affiliate links and info to site
• Participated in several discussions here, as part of the Level 2 Training
• Oh yeah, and this is me completing Lesson 10 of that training.

All of that has led me here thus far: Singing Serenity

I've now been working for about 17 hours straight, but I'm too wired to sleep!
