First Post.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to get on here and formally say hello to the community. There have been some comments, private messages, etc., but nothing for the group. I am here like many others, looking for a better way. I enjoy my current occupation and don't make bad money at it. With that said, it takes a lot of time away from my family. I work a rotation, so I have quite a bit of alone time at home, now that the kids are in school. What better way to occupy my alone time, than to (hopefully) make some extra money and learn something new?

I have wanted to be somewhat of a “Helper” since coming into my adults years. I received an education in Psychology & Counseling and currently spend my days working as a Safety and Training Representative. Being able to help others, even if it is only one person, and pay it forward is the ultimate reward. I want to be able to pass on my experiences and knowledge to improve someone else's understanding, or maybe create a conversation where we all benefit.

In addition to myself wanting to help, I cannot say enough about the community here. While I may not have been here too long, questions are being answered and effective trainings are being provided. The platform itself is fairly easy to understand, even for a middle aged country boy like myself.

I want to leave a thought for anyone else who is new, and then I'll call it a night. Keep moving forward, keep learning, keep networking, and keep sharing. In the end, you'll have improved your personal and professional life for the better. Nobody can take that away!
