Are you playing video games?

Today I had a day off doing almost anything. I really needed a break.
I was on my computer and I realized I have Heroes Of Might And Magic installed. It's one of the games of my youth. I've been playing it A LOT when I was commitment free.
I didn't take me long to turn it on and start playing it. It's been quite enjoyable experience.
Haven't played games for quite a while. :)

Since games can be terrible time-consumers (as well as time wasters), if you're passionate about them, I believe you can do something with that. Even writing blogs with tips, cheats, advices, walkthroughs. Anything can be turned into a niche.

In case you don't want to do something like that, beware of video games.
You won't know it before your day passes by with them. :)

If you like playing games online, there is a new MMO coming on the scene in about a week or two. Let me know if your interested and I'll message you when it happens. Many aspects will be included in that site such as the sale of gaming collectables, game related tee-shirts, tournaments where you can win money or prizes plus a business aspect for $10 per month if you wish to participate. No guarantees that you will get rich but you might have some fun... but only if you can handle it!

hey, might i get to join in on the fun to?

I actually chose League of Legends as my niche and i am kinda worried about it if this will be any profitable anywhen i mean they said it doesen't matter what niche you take but i think it is important. It's very hard to get traffic for it i think. Should i change to another niche?

I agree totally, games can take the mind into a whole other realm. Next thing an entire day has gone, and you may feel that you have wasted that time. But still, gaming has its place and I am sure you deserve a few gaming days every so often :)

Like everything else, there's an upside & a downside. - It's all in how one manages it. - It's the proverbial Double-Edged Sword.

Thanks , thank you, i used to like playing video games but not for a while.

I can see how they could dominate ones time.

I know a person you flunked out of college playing role playing games with endless levels. It is interesting how a program can trap the mind for short and long twilight zones.

There are lots of such cases. Once you get into something lika that, it's hard to get out of it.

That's sad on many levels.

His parents were probably a big factor of that. I'd rather be out partying a little and enjoy hanging out with friends. Otherwise, I'm knocking out college studies. It's normally the guys who get hooked onto these games I've noticed. I got hooked on Runescape a lot back in high school starting my Freshman year, but I quit playing it a lot by my senior year and totally by my Freshman year in college; although I did leave a mining bot on for it. lol. (it automatically does it for you).

I know RS is a dumb game, but that's what I played back in 2007 online anyway (when it was actually cool), aside from my previous Playstation games.

But for this guy... I think it's really all about training yourself. People need to realize these companies create these games to where they keep you on it, and keep spending money. If it takes you longer than 10 days to beat the game, they've created it in a way to keep you hooked on it 1 way or another. The old game I used to play, Runescape, is having all these events and things you can buy now to keep people playing it. They're getting desperate since like 200,000 people quit playing it.... and now they're pulling out all the stops to get more new fresh players into it.

Use common sense!

I know a guy who earned a full ride at Colorado State designing video games! He's my son and he's doing awesome!

I think most people can relate, boys in particular. Girls are more into the girl's night over, makeup, and that type of stuff; although it seems more girls are playing games now. You know. I've done that myself though many times. Lately I haven't played games much though although I was playing my old Final Fantasy 10 game quite a bit about 1-2 months ago (I never got the ultima weapons in previous play throughs). I got towards the end of the game with pretty much maxed out stats to the point of the game I'm at, but didn't finish it yet. lol.

The games of my youth were a lot of the old classical PS1 games & the Final Fantasy games for sure. 7 to 10-2 were the games I got. I believe 11 required the PS3, and I haven't gotten that although I do have the Xbox 360 now thanks to my little bro upgrading to a new improved model. I was a real big gamer up until about 15 years old though, but I stopped quite a bit after that, and stopped BIG time when I started Internet Marketing about 2 years ago. Now it's just for relaxation purposes or time off like you said. Getting out and doing things is always good too. ;)

Yes, it is. If you're doing something that fulfills you, you don't even think about video games. :)

You reminded me of Final Fantasy now.. I'm really big fan of FF. Played FF7 like 20 times from beginning to an end. Played all the other for PS1 also. :)

I have Final Fantasy 7 too. haha. I actually got the remake of it on PS2 not long ago. FF7 was awesome... Amazing story line and fighting. And ofc the music is really good too. FF7 and FF8 were probably my 2 favorites. The side quests were really hard too... especially with the chocobo and all. My darn FF8 game isn't working though. Can't get past the intro for some reason. Probably get another one online sometime.

FF7 had a remake. I didn't know it went live?
I just saw the announciation, and thought it never got finished or released.
You shouldn't have told me that. :)
If I get it I won't get off the PS. haha

I finished FF8 several times, also.
It's interesting and the story is nice. I like card games a lot.
But FF7 is the king. :)

What was crazy about FF8 was how they required you to have the PocketStation for the Chocobo sidequest. I learned that was only released in Japan for a few years and stopped circulation after. I ended up getting one online for like $30.00 online not too long ago, but that was after I couldn't play it cuz the intro wouldn't pass it. I'm guessing you didn't do the PocketStation thing either. :P

And yeah... I'd have to agree FF7 is king. I've heard FF6 on the Nintendo was really good too, but I've never played it. I found out the original maker of the series quit the Final Fantasy series and the company now making them with the production of 10-2 or 11 I think. He went on to create his own company called MystWalker I think. I'm sort of keeping tabs on him.

Yea, I haven't done the PocketStation thing.
Jeez, seems like there ain't no conversation about video games without mentioning FF. :)

lol, I'm so outdated on games though man. But if I say I need to get up to date on my games, I sound like such a nerd. My little bro plays the Xbox 360 a lot while he bots on Runescape, so I'm pretty familiar with the Halo games, Zombie Apocalypse, and some other big military type of games. The old games were definitely epic though. Many people say the Final Fantasy series have lost its touch ever since the creator quit the company. So the Playstation 1 games plus FF10 and FF6 were like the best ones. Now they've turned it into more of a hottie fest with this crazy battle style.

Just so you know, my niche is gaming. ;) I'm running an authority over games in general with more of a professional angle at it (not trying to brag, but I've been doing this 2 years). Working on a displayed article directory right now and some program based stuff. Also looking to install a built in Google search platform with monetized ads, and some other search stuff too. I know I want to create my own games too and install it directory on Wordpress sites (without creating a server, lol). Open Source coding and tapping into new popular programs is where the real money's at after you get a grip on this basic affiliate stuff. ;)

Well, ttyl. Need to get off here. Nice chatting with you.
