What an experience the last 4 weeks have been. Several years ago I learned a little bit about website development (also using WordPress), but joining WA is one of the best things I have done. The support in the group is fantastic.
During the training I chose Alzheimer Dementia as a niche and refined that into Alzheimer Prevention. The reason I am passionate about this - I have a greater than normal chance of developing this disease based on genetics. I have it on both sides of my family - and as I am approaching 60 - this issue is becoming more important for me every day.
Initially I did start out with a need to create some income as well - and I do see opportunities in the future. But as I started to ask for critiques during the course - it became obvious that many people often know family members that are effected by this debilitating disease and that prevention strategy may help many more people - other than sufferers themselves. I was very encouraged by some of the early feedback.

So then I started talking to family and friends about what I am doing now. Even more encouraging feedback. I know that this is a horrible disease - I have witnessed many of my family suffer from this - so I have been studying this disease for more than 6 years now and even participated in a study at the University in Amsterdam (when I lived in Holland).
Now I am really encouraged to make this website as a general service for both sufferers and also for family members to help them cope with their suffering parents, grandparents, uncles or aunts. As we are all getting older - this disease will only grow and more people will display the symptoms.
I really covet your feedback on the site so far. I have used a responsive template so that it looks OK on both a PC and an iPad. Obviously I now need to find more suggestions for affiliate links and also more competitive keywords so that the site starts to rate in Google.
