Are you a messy person?

I am, I feel the messier my desk the easier I can find things but if my whole room or house is messy then there is a problem.

Because my desk holds everything from school, work and business files, I can never have too less of paperwork. Which is why I am planning to get myself a monster shredder. I usually scan my documents in my computer and keep them all in a box but now things are getting out of hand. X)

WHAT DO YOU HAVE AS YOUR COMPUTER DESK OR WORK DESK IN GENERAL? IS IT MESSY? DOES IT HELP?

Oh I am a person of order find it difficult to focus if things are not in their rightful place, guess or brains all have their own type of organization

I cannot function in mess. I have to organize everything, color code and all. I also scan everything into my computer because I do not like paper everywhere.

I like to keep it organized but I share it with my husband who isn't organized.

I have coffee on my desk. It is the single best productivity aid I have managed to find. It helps me work, rest and play...LOL
We are all so different... overall I would have to say that we have been told wrong all this time:
God, not the devil is in the details...

It doesn't matter where you find things just that you can.

My house is orderly… my desk is a mess...

I love it! I let me desk go until I can't find a thing and then I will go and file, scan, shred and complete old tasks that need to be done. I just had a day like that this week and now my desk is super clean...for now.

No it does not help if my desk is messy. Take time to put things in order. It pays off in the long run. But then, that's just me.

I always try to keep my work area tidy with all my papers in plastic folders/file boxes, that comes from being a desk jockey for years. What also helped me was having an In Tray/Out Tray and a pending tray.In was for new work ,out for completed and pending was for work that could not be done that day.Hope this helps you in some way.

I'm sure you are a thinker. One thought entering as soon as the last one is acted on, that's admirable and can lead to great success!

However, the condition of our desk is usually a reflection of our thinking patterns. The messier the desk the more scattered our thoughts. Organization helps to prioritize these thoughts and to strengthen our focus on the most important tasks at hand.

If you had a physical office, appearance could make or crush the deal. On-line businesses are no different. Although most interactions on-line are not live, our body language is transferred over the internet when we least expect it. We conduct ourselves differently when dressed in track pants and sweat shirts than we do when wearing a suit. Now we don't need to be wearing a suit from home, but if we dress office casual, EVEN AT HOME, we project better attitude to our clients.

Our desks are no exception. Our attitude is projected through our mess or organization. Messy desks can be perceived as lazy attitude to our clients.

I have a doored wall unit, and a filing cabinet with a lock. On my desk I have all those important email addresses, client numbers, and helpful names within the WA network on a rolodex. Everything at my fingertips but out of sight.

I invite you to visit my profile page and read my blog named:

Welcome to my "do-it-later" bin... but why not now?

Because you will lose the number to the pizza place you were going to order lunch from, you told me that in your blog!!

Hi joskieman
If there one thing I have learned about running a business, is that being organised is more essential than anything I have ever learned about business.
We as internet marketers have so much information to take in, that with out being organised, we are in big trouble
I also make sure my computer digital desktop is organised, clean and easy to access the info I need
I bought a shredder a long time ago and its the most used piece of equipment apart from my computer
I spend a lot of time keeping organised because if I don't, it ends in chaos

Wishing you mush success here at WA
