Fear is a powerful thing
Since I first joined Wealthy Affiliate, I was so eager to learn and the great community here is the best asset one could ask for. I mean which program can help you out of your struggle and get an answer to your questions in minutes? I have not found any except here at WA.
Soon as I went through the courses and checklists and came across the word "content" fear started creeping in, 'I have to write about something I like, and publish it to people that don't even know me?' 'what will the people that know me say about what I've written?' I felt like crawling into a shell and hiding myself.
This fear gripped me and I didn't know what to do, do I go forward or do I just back down and look for other ventures. This so called fear is still with me and still propels me to even write this down. I am still learning in this thing called life, how is it that my friends can proceed on with life and travel abroad and I'm left stagnating, I wonder at times.
The same fear I believe is pushing me from behind and want to make myself better by changing my mindset and adapting to change and make something out of myself.
I listen to a wide variety of music, a particular one caught my ear, which was by Dr. Dre, and at the start of the music was a quote by Jimmy Iovine that made me read about his story and his commencement speech at USC. He says, "Fear…fear is a powerful thing. I mean, it’s got a lot of firepower. If you can figure out a way to wrestle that fear to push you from behind rather than stand in front of you, that’s very powerful."
One quote from Reid Hoffman reads " An Entrepreneur is someone who jumps off a cliff and builds a plane on his way down" Well, here I go.......

Hey Joseph, congrats on taking steps to tackle your fears. I had the exact same fears starting out as well. Why would anyone want to read my content etc.. But after more time and experience I soon realized that people are going to google because they want answers and need HELP.
They aren't going to Google to find my site and criticize it. So if I can provide them with helpful content/solve their queries than they will greatly appreciate my site. Yea sure a small % will be trolls or not happy..., but who cares, (this can't be avoided in any niche) the other larger % of people are what make it worthwhile. Knowing you have helped someone in whatever it is they are looking for. Even if it is as simple as helping someone decide on which phone case is best suited to them, you are doing them a great service.
Most of my friends were always bagging me for trying to make money online and saying they are all scams "if you can make money online, then why isn't everyone doing it..." "if you talk about internet marketing again I'm going to push you off this 10 storey building" (Joking I hope lol).
But guess what, they all want me to teach them how to make money online now hahaha. So I used there negatives as a motivator for me to prove to them that I could make my first $1000 in a month online. Turning negatives into a positive is a great way to get through it. So use you fear to push you further than you could ever imagine :). Best of luck Man!.
haha! your friends were tired of hearing about internet marketing now they want you to teach them, wow! must have been a great feeling......Thanks, Josh!!
