Google Custom URL
I login to Google+ daily. Today I was greeted by this message that they have a custom URL suggestion for me.
New: https://plus.google.com/+JudeChan
Old: https://plus.google.com/u/2/118183467603114714777
It didn't take me more than 2 seconds to decide that +JudeChan is a better handle than a string of numbers. :)
I did a quick search to figure what's going on and discovered some Rules for getting a custom URL
- You need 10 or more followers
- Your account is a month old (at least)
- You have a profile picture
- Your account is in good standing
Did you just start your Google+ account? If so, I hope this guide is helpful.
I didn't know of this, so it was really a nice surprise.

JooKwang, unfortunately I haven't got mine yet.
I did send a message to Google via the "send feedback" tab located on the left side of our G+ dashboard / home page.
Still not receiving any replies via Google, any messages sent to me via G+ or gmail.
Hmm, at the moment, i really do not what's the follow up process for my current endeavors. (refining my G+ personal profile & following like minded friends thus gaining social engagement for the posts that I'll be posting on my personal profile.)
One thing for sure, my account has been around for quite a while, I started posting stuff since 2013 (though I'm not really consistent in doing so), have shifted to other social networking platforms like FB & Instagram.
I'm pretty sure I have fulfilled some of the criteria stated by G+ for getting our "very own" G+ custom URL.

I am following you on G+. I have to admit when it comes to social media, I am not really active. This comes from a few 'scares' I had earlier when my account was terminated / suspended for no clear reason. I wrote in to some of these social media platforms, but usually there is no answer. I did get my G+ back....thankfully.
Well, I'm not a social media active guy as well, I didn't knew that G+ actually had so much "perks" in boosting our site ranking performance.
Then I started to do research on G+, found out there's a lot that can be done in improving our site's seo performance, steep learning curve!
I think it'll worth it, if we start to get ourselves active on G+, but the traffic on G+ is like 100times lesser than Facebook! :D
However, most internet marketers recommend us to get ourselves active on G+, I'm glad I posted some stuff on my G+ account. At least it doesn't "look fresh" to my newly added friends. Haha.
