Does changing WP Theme affect website ranking, social media statistics?
I tried to post this as a question but there was a problem in submitting it. Thus, I am writing it as a blog post instead.
I am a month into my website and managed to publish close to 50 articles. They are being indexed by Google but not ranking anywhere high.
I wanted to change the WP theme because the current one looks very cluttered. It's at https://bytetodc.com
Would changing the WP theme affect my SEO, ranking and social media statistics? For example, on my website, there is a Total Share Count for my blog posts. If I change to a new theme, will all this be reset?
Thanks and hope to hear from anyone who has similar experience.
I also welcome if you have any ideas for WP Themes that are easy on the eyes. I was on the Omega Theme previously but it seems to have a lot of white space and thus I changed it. The current one however looks cluttered and has a slower loading time, maybe in part due to the images and above the fold header image.

I changed my theme and it improved my ranking. It could be a one-off situation. It helped me anyway. Your theme should be user friendly. Some themes are not so lively.

Sometimes changing themes spoil the whole layout. Refer this question to our community as you are reaching only friends circle with blogging.
If your current one has images above the fold and the new one will not this should help rankings.
