I'm here to share how my Amazon books business is doing so far this month. I have been on the Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) platform for over 14 years now since March 2012. I have published 120 books, minus books by other friends, whom I did help along the way.
Today, I'm sharing how the last (latest) 20 books, written in 2026, have been doing in sales/free orders. It's important to point out that I promoted all of these books in their respective 2 series for free, using Amazon KDP promotion system, Kindle Select. This means most of the sales in April 2026 are free downloads to Kindle devices as you can see in the image below.

As you can see above, there are 845 orders and 2,188 pages read. That's data. That means people are seeing my books. Some are giving them a try. If only half of the 800 people would read and write book reviews, or come back later and buy print copies, that's success, isn't it?
It is!
However, I still sold a few books and earned $15 this month. That's money. It can be $150.71 It can also be $1,500.71, or $150,000.71. That's very possible, but not only with mere hope, with a plan and an execution. I'm doing that now.
I am writing blog posts, both here and on my website, to share my experiences, and to try to help others, hoping that in return, they will help me.
Yet, I'm sharing this progress here to inspire you to keep doing your online business. It works. Sometimes, it doesn't work. Sometimes, it does WORK. But keep trying more than one way of making money online. Find what works and scale. That's what I'm doing: scaling.
Yes, my books get sales, occasionally, and that works. Yes, I get paid here for my contributions, and that works. Sometimes, Google AdSense pays me for my content/ads, and that works. I get booked as a professional medical and legal interpreter in the U.S, and that works. I build websites and get paid for it. That too works.
These are just some of the many ways for me to earn money online. Do they pay my bills? Yes, but I'm not making a living from these yet. I will. But only if I keep testing and refining.
