Changing my Theme: Red Flags?

So, I finally added some affiliate ads and links - and discovered that the theme I currently use (Twenty Thirteen) doesn't really accommodate affiliate advertising in a functional way. Even though I like the clean look of my current theme, I don't think it will really work.

Can anyone recommend a good theme? Will I lose content if I change themes? What are the red flags I should be looking for in this process?

Once again, thanks for the advice and direction!

HI everyone. Thanks for your input and advice. Think I'very found the solution...doesn't look like I'll lose content when I switch. Again, I really appreciate your help!

Can you add a tag to make it more functional? I did that to mine.

I'm using Iconic One. I switched Ionic one to Twenty Thirteen in my other site. I may have to switched back to Iconic One.

When you say doesn;t accommodate affiliate links in a functional way, can yo elaborate on that? Maybe a screen shot.

As far as loosing content Jim - you should use anything when you change. If you do I would switch back right away and pick another theme. Properly written ones should allow a smooth transition.

Thanks Katie. I'll give that a shot.

I also use Iconic one recommended from the start by Carson.

I am using iconic one which is a responsive theme why not try out a few and use the filter to select what your looking for and try them out on a practice site

Try "Twenty Fifteen." I really like it. It's blog focused, made for clarity, and works with mobile phones and all other sizes of scree. That's the one I use!
